Construction of 2-D lanthanide coordination frameworks: syntheses, structures and luminescent property{
A series of layered lanthanide coordination frameworks [Ln4(NIPH)6(H2O)4]?(4,49-bipy) [Ln = La (1), Pr (2)], [La(NIPH)2(H2O)2]?0.5(4,49-H2bipy) (3), Ln(NIPH)2(H2O)2]?0.5(4,49-H2bipy)?2H2O [Ln =Pr (4), Nd (5)], and [Ln(NIPH)2]?0.5(4,49-H2bipy) [Ln = Sm (6), Eu (7), Tb (8), Ho (9), Yb (10)] (NIPH = 5-nitroisophthalate and 4,49-bipy = 4,49-bipyridine) have been synthesized under hydrothermal condi...
متن کاملLuminescent metal-organic frameworks for chemical sensing and explosive detection.
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are a unique class of crystalline solids comprised of metal cations (or metal clusters) and organic ligands that have shown promise for a wide variety of applications. Over the past 15 years, research and development of these materials have become one of the most intensely and extensively pursued areas. A very interesting and well-investigated topic is their opti...
متن کاملSelective incorporation of functional dicarboxylates into zinc metal-organic frameworks.
Zinc(II) nitrate reacts with different ratios of 1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid (H(2)bdc) and 2-halo-1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid (H(2)bdc-X, X = Br or I) to give [Zn(4)O(bdc)(3-x)(bdc-X)(x)], in which preferential incorporation of bdc is observed. The selective incorporation is related to crystal growth rates, and the proportion of incorporated bdc-X rises with increasing reaction time.
متن کاملTopologic connection between 2-D layered structures and 3-D diamond structures for conventional semiconductors
When coming to identify new 2D materials, our intuition would suggest us to look from layered instead of 3D materials. However, since graphite can be hypothetically derived from diamond by stretching it along its [111] axis, many 3D materials can also potentially be explored as new candidates for 2D materials. Using a density functional theory, we perform a systematic study over the common Grou...
متن کاملStructures of Metal-Organic Frameworks with Rod Secondary Building Units.
Rod MOFs are metal-organic frameworks in which the metal-containing secondary building units consist of infinite rods of linked metal-centered polyhedra. For such materials, we identify the points of extension, often atoms, which define the interface between the organic and inorganic components of the structure. The pattern of points of extension defines a shape such as a helix, ladder, helical...
