1H-Pyrrole-2-carbohydrazide

The title compound, C(5)H(7)N(3)O, was obtained by the reaction of ethyl 1H-pyrrol-2-carboxyl-ate and hydrazide hydrate. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via inter-molecular N-H⋯N and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a supra-molecular grid.

(E)-N′-(2-Chlorobenzylidene)-1-methyl-4-nitro-1H-pyrrole-2-carbohydrazide

In the title compound, C13H11ClN4O3, the phenyl and pyrrolyl ring are linked by an ac-yl-hydrazone (R 2C=N-N-CO-R) group, forming a slightly bent mol-ecule: the dihedral angle subtended by the the phenyl and pyrrolyl rings is 8.46 (12)°. In the crystal, the three-dimensional supra-molecular structure is assembled by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonding. Mol-ecular sheets are formed parallel to (101) in a her...

Crystal structure of (E)-N′-benzylidene-1-methyl-4-nitro-1H-pyrrole-2-carbohydrazide

In the title compound, C13H12N4O3, the dihedral angle between the planes of the pyrrole and benzene rings is 7.47 (1)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are arranged in sheets lying parallel to (101). Neighbouring sheets are linked by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, weak π-π [centroid-centroid distance between the pyrrole rings = 3.765 (11) Å] and C-H⋯π inter-actions, forming a three-dimensional structure.

1H-Pyrrole-2-carboxylic acid

In the title compound, C(5)H(5)NO(2), the pyrrole ring and its carboxyl substituent are close to coplanar, with a dihedral angle of 11.7 (3)° between the planes. In the crystal structure, adjacent mol-ecules are linked by pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds to form inversion dimers. Additional N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link these dimers into chains extending along the a axis.

Methyl 1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylate

The title compound, C(6)H(7)NO(2), is essentially planar with a dihedral angle of 3.6 (3)° between the pyrrole ring and the methoxy-carbonyl O/C/O/C plane. In the crystal structure, the N atom is a hydrogen-bond donor to the carboxylate C=O O atom of the neighboring mol-ecule. These inter-molecular hydrogen bonds lead to the formation of helical chains along the b axis.
