180 nm FLASH ANALOG TO DIGITAL CONVERTOR

In this paper, Threshold Inverter Quantizer (TIQ) is a novel idea which can effectively replace the reference voltage generator, resistive/capacitive divider network and array of differential comparators in conventional flash Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) by an internal comparator constructed Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) inverters. The inverter threshold serving as voltage, architecture claims large improvements terms silicon area, power consumption operating speed. Perturbations due sensitivity temperature/process variations pose impediments such ADC designs strongly demand compensation scheme variations. This paper presents TIQ based ADC, with compensation. project 5 bit adc using Comparator designed simulated TANNER EDA 180nm technology. Key Words: flash, adc, tiq(threshold quantization)
