چکیده
Abstract Dual Mobility (DM) implants provide greater stability especially in Revision Total Hip Arthroplasty (R-THA) when compared to primary THA. Aim: identify the current evidence regarding outcomes of DM R-THA fixed-bearing (FB) implants. Review accordance with PRISMA guidelines. Structured electronic searches. Primary outcome measure: dislocation rate following R-THA. Secondary measures: implant survival, aseptic loosening, infection rate. Studies' methodology quality assessed using MINORS criteria. All articles published from 2016 December 2019 included. 1777 R-THAs were reported (49.9% acetabular component, 50.1% FB component). Sample size: 67-426 patients. Mean age: 57-73. follow-up period: 12-60 months. Significant risk ratio 1.08 [1.05, 1.12] (95% CI, I2 = 37%, P < 0.00001) statistically significant difference between two groups favour implant. Statistically group respect (risk 0.22, 95% CI; and loosening 0.51, 0.05). No statistical on for 0.94 0.85). are beneficial However, one needs balance benefits considering patient’s clinical conditions costs involved.

Fatal Cobalt Cardiomyopathy Following Revision Total Hip Arthroplasty – A Brief Report with Review of Literature
Ceramic bearing surfaces are being increasingly used in young patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty. However, failures have been reported including fractures even with the newer third generation ceramics. The recommendedtreatment for fracture of ceramic bearing surfaces is complete synovectomy and revision total hip arthroplasty. However, disappointing results have also bee...
متن کاملRisk factors for revision of primary total hip arthroplasty: a systematic review
BACKGROUND Numerous papers have been published examining risk factors for revision of primary total hip arthroplasty (THA), but there have been no comprehensive systematic literature reviews that summarize the most recent findings across a broad range of potential predictors. METHODS We performed a PubMed search for papers published between January, 2000 and November, 2010 that provided data ...
متن کاملRevision Total Hip Arthroplasty for Aseptic Failure
The results of 276 cemented revision total hip arthroplasties performed for aseptic failure between 1977 and 1986 have been reviewed. The mean time between revision and review was 75 months (range 30 to 144). Of 220 cases available for review, 159 were assessed clinically and radiographically, and 32 by postal questionnaire. Eighteen hips required further revision, 12 for loosening, two for sep...
متن کاملImpaction Grafting for Revision Total Hip Arthroplasty
Impaction grafting for revision total hip arthroplasty is increasingly being used in cases complicated by substantial bone loss. Many techniques using cemented and noncemented designs with or without bone graft have had unpredictable outcomes and are the source of continuing debate. This new technique uses morselized allograft, impacted into a constrained femoral envelope, creating a new medull...

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the clinical and radiographic results from patients who underwent femoral reconstruction secondary to loosening of total hip arthroplasty, using circumferential proximal femoral allografts and cemented implants. METHODS A retrospective study was conducted on 32 patients (33 hips) who underwent femoral reconstruction secondary to loosening of total hip arthroplasty, using...
