چکیده
Abstract Aim A thoracic aortic aneurysm (TAA) is a pathological dilatation of the aorta. There significant morbidity associated with dilated aorta including mortality. Open surgery mainstay management for proximal lesions, offering definitive treatment. We aim to evaluate outcomes patients operated on TAA and consider high risk associations Method Data was retrospectively collected from 234 that underwent elective open at UHS disease, between 2015 2019. Demographics, clinical factors, surgical details, as well outcome measures were gathered. Results 166 males (71%) 68 females (29%), mean age 66 years. found 105 operations involved root, 171 ascending aorta, 20 arch 12 descending 30 day mortality 5.13%. Female root (P = 0.05), those prosthetic valves 0.01)and post-operative complications significantly higher Conclusions number factors are in this high-risk Surgery. These should be considered when discussing risks intervention patients.

timing of surgery for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage
despite the many studies about timing for surgery in subarachnoid hemorrhage (sah), the optimum time is still unclear. the aim of this study was to determine the results of early and late surgery for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. in this cross-sectional study we evaluated the results of 70 consecutive surgery for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage in in firuzgar hospital from 2005 to 2008...
متن کاملOpen surgery for thoracic aortic disease.
Many recent technical advances have enhanced the safety of open surgery of the descending thoracic aorta. Previous to the refinement of these adjuncts and techniques, surgeons such as Stanley Crawford showed that simple aortic cross-clamping with expeditious surgery produced the best results. In Crawford’s era of “clamp and go”, time limitations pressured surgeons to perform anastomoses rapidly...
متن کاملTiming of surgery for aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage.
BACKGROUND The timing of surgery to secure a ruptured aneurysm after a subarachnoid haemorrhage is an important issue. Early clipping of an aneurysm prevents rebleeding, a major cause of death after a subarachnoid haemorrhage. However, concerns about the possible deleterious effects of early surgery raise questions about the safety and efficacy of this approach. This review examines the randomi...

A retrospective review of 27 patients who underwent endovascular repair of thoracic aneurysms and of other thoracic aortic pathology with the thoracic aortic endograft (Gore Medical, Flagstaff, AZ) from June 2005 to July 2007 was performed. The mean follow-up period was 13.5 months (range, 2-25 months). Indications for thoracic endografting included descending thoracic aneurysms (n = 18), thora...
متن کاملDeterminants of aneurysmal aortic disease.
Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) imposes a burden of epidemic proportions. Screening programs in the United States and in Europe have shown that 5% of men 65 years of age have an occult AAA,1 and therefore, an understanding of the determinants of AAA is essential to the design of effective interventions. The article by Forsdahl and colleagues2 in this issue of Circulation specifically addresses ...
