164 Testicular Torsion: A Race to Beat the Golden Hours

Abstract Introduction Testicular torsion is a condition requiring immediate attention and the golden time period for its management 6 hours at which rate of salvageability testes 90 percent (NICE). This decreases considerably with passing time. Imaging has minimal value. Method The electronic data 36 patients from June 2020 to May 2021 were reviewed analysed. Majority between age 11–20 i.e., 21. We analysed mode admission these patients, A&E triage surgical clerking induction anaesthesia. Results (70 percent) admitted through Emergency A&E. was less than 30 minutes 10 while 11 had no proper documentation anaesthesia in 23 more 7 them. 14 underwent Scrotal Exploration Bilateral orchidopexy 13 orchidectomies. Out orchidectomies, crossed induction. booked USS testis, 8 Orchidectomy hour (6 Hours). Conclusions Early presentation, diagnosis exploration testicular improves salvable testes. who testis passed timeframe shows that there scope faster appropriate torsion.
