چکیده
Mucous membrane pemphigoid (MMP) is an autoimmune blistering disease that most frequently affects the oral cavity and conjunctivae. Additional skin lesions may appear in about a quarter of patients. The current therapeutic armamentarium mainly based on long-term immunosuppression, which associated with high number adverse events not effective. Here, we investigated effects topical conjunctival administration selective CXCR1/2 inhibitor (DF2156A) MMP mouse model. was induced C57BL6/J mice by repetitive injections anti-murine laminin α3 IgG. Mice were treated eyedrops twice daily for 12 28 days. At both timepoints, DF2156A compared vehicle control group, reduced split formation 50%, as determined H&E staining biopsies. In addition, day 28, decreased inflammatory infiltrate observed upon treatment. Our data indicate pharmacological inhibition represents promising treatment MMP. particular, application appeared novel avenue patients ocular involvement.

Introduction Identifying risk factors for leprosy reactions can preempt clinicians to initiate prompt treatment to prevent associated morbidities. Thus, a retrospective study was done to elucidate the risk factors among 44 newly diagnosed leprosy patients in Sarawak General Hospital from 1993 to 2007. Materials and methods Case folders were searched for demographic data, clinical characteristic...
متن کاملNaturally occurring regulatory T cells in mucous membrane pemphigoid lesions.
BACKGROUND A growing body of evidence suggests the involvement of naturally occurring CD4+ CD25+ regulatory (nTreg) T cells in autoimmune diseases. OBJECTIVE To evaluate the expression of some nTreg markers in mucous membrane pemphigoid (MMP) lesions. METHODS Lesional biopsies from six patients with untreated MMP were stained immunohistochemically with anti-CD25, -FoxP3, -CD103, and -CCR5. ...

Mucous membrane pemphigoid (MMP) is an autoimmune blistering disorder that is characterized by subepithelial bullae. Various basement membrane zone components have been identified as targets of autoantibodies in MMP. Considerable variability exists in the clinical presentation of MMP. Mucous membranes that may be involved include the oral cavity, conjunctiva, nasopharynx, larynx, esophagus, gen...

Mucous membrane pemphigoid (MMP) is a rare nosological entity. MMP consists of a clinical phenotype in which several autoimmune subepidermal bullous diseases are classified. It occurs predominantly in the mucous membranes and usually results in scarring. Esophageal involvement in MMP is rare and is generally seen in patients in whom lesions are widespread. The most common alterations are multip...

Mucous membrane pemphigoid (MMP) is a rare variant of the skin disease pemphigoid, which predominantly involves the mucous membranes. This rare autoimmune disease that infrequently affects the respiratory tract is characterized by subepithelial blister formation that may result in scarring. Immunopathologic examination of mucous membranes reveals the deposition of immunoglobulins and complement...
