Abstract Introduction A significant aspect of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery workload relates to trauma, particularly soft-tissue injuries. Contingent on the aetiology injury, facial wounds require debridement rapid closure reduce risk infection degree scarring. The aim was identify possible risks frequency postoperative complications, including problems identified by patients following treatment injuries on-call team. Method Data retrospectively collected from who sustained treated team provided with follow-up appointments January August 2020. Computerised clinical notes were accessed determine patient demographics, mechanism site location time repair, operator grade complications (if any). Results 153 required suturing a injury under local or general anaesthetic. Among these, male female ratio 65:35. 47% resulted mechanical fall. Lips found be most common (31%) injury. Postoperative complication rate 8% within 8-month period, reports infection, wound dehiscence haematoma requiring further treatment. 58% carried out between 5pm-5am sole (DCT/SHO). 83% followed Emergency Department rather than setting.
