چکیده

Mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells are an evolutionarily conserved subset of cells, which mediate functions that link innate and acquired immunity in a broad spectrum diseases, including infectious, autoimmune skin diseases. Although transcription factors such as PLZF, SATB1, miR-181a/b-1, miR-155, Drosha, SAP have been shown to regulate MAIT cell development differentiation, significant gap our knowledge regulation remains. Using previously published scRNA-seq dataset, we observed increase Cbf-β expression stage 3 led us investigate the effect on cells. We found deficiency murine impaired interrupted MAIT1 MAIT17 differentiation. Additionally, inducible deletion inhibited activation cytotoxicity peripheral Our work elucidates mechanism identifies novel target, Cbf-β, for modulation applications cell-based immunotherapies.

Human Leptin Hormone Affects TNF-α Production in Mucosal-associated Invariant T Cells

Background and Aims: Mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells are striking lymphocyte population in the blood and their importance in immune responses is growing fast. The current study was conducted to evaluate leptin hormone effects on MAIT cell functions. Materials and Methods: Five healthy male donors in ages of 22-30 years were selected and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) ...

Human Mucosal Associated Invariant T Cells Detect Bacterially Infected Cells

Control of infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) requires Th1-type immunity, of which CD8+ T cells play a unique role. High frequency Mtb-reactive CD8+ T cells are present in both Mtb-infected and uninfected humans. We show by limiting dilution analysis that nonclassically restricted CD8+ T cells are universally present, but predominate in Mtb-uninfected individuals. Interestingly, th...

B Cells Modulate Mucosal Associated Invariant T Cell Immune Responses

A common finding when measuring T cell immunity to enteric bacterial vaccines in humans is the presence of background responses among individuals before immunization. Yet the nature of these background responses remains largely unknown. Recent findings show the presence in uninfected individuals of mucosal associated invariant T (MAIT) cells that mount broad spectrum immune responses against a ...

Mucosal-associated invariant T cells in clinical diseases.

UNLABELLED Mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells are innate-like T cells that recognize microbial infection via vitamin metabolites. The discovery of MAIT cells in the past two decades and the recent discovery of MR1 ligands has opened a new field and potential area for cellular immunotherapy using these unique cells. Their evolutionary conservation in mammals underscore their biological ...
