چکیده

Abstract The use of antibiotics in animal feed, commonly used as a strategy to achieve greater daily weight gains and recently way reduce methane emission, might result the selection resistant microorganisms certain bacterial strains isolated from cattle are multiple could be human health hazards. To evaluate production ruminant diet without roughage containing ionized amino acids antibiotic alternative, twenty-four Nellore young bulls were allotted into two groups. first group was fed with high-grain diet, 82 mg/kg mixture (L-lysine L-taurine HCl 99%, pH 9.74) manufactured by MJ Animal Nutrition. second Brachiaria brizantha hay (15% dry matter) sodium monensin (120 mgּּ -1 ּּ day-1). It not negative control avoid metabolic disturbances. feedlot time 100 days. measurements performed at beginning trial period monthly, always water restriction fasting for 18 hours, even before slaughter. A completely randomized design used. Methane emission measured using sulfur hexafluoride technique matter intake GrowSafe system. There no detection lameness or laminitis any groups there changes feed conversion ratio (FCR). total (-77.11%) per (DMI; -57.12 %), average gain (ADG; -71.11%) kilogram carcass (-70.07%) different between treatments (P < 0.0001), resulting decreased intensities acids. We conclude that an effective mitigate GHG emissions facilitate diets management. In field conditions, roughage-lacking represent advantage, especially regarding its administration large amount animals just once week less, need area, infra-structure expertise produce, preserve feeding roughage.

Urinary excretion of aromatic acids by sheep given diets containing different amounts of protein and roughage.

I . The urinary excretions of total diethyl ether-soluble acids and total aromatic acids of three sheep given maintenance diets containing different proportions of hay, rolled oats and decorticated groundnut meal were determined. 2. When the sheep were given the diet containing 70 % rolled oats the excretion of aromatic acids in the urine was less than that observed when the sheep were given di...

Roughage Source in Feedlot Diets

Story in Brief The influence of roughage source on digestion of :1 high grain diet was measured with 24 Hereford-Angus steers. The six roughages tested were cottonseed hulls, prairie hay, alfalfa hay, sorghum plant silage and two varieties of corn plant silage. The diet consisted of 82 percent whole shelled corn, 10 percent roughage and 8 percent supplement. Daily feed intake was restricted to ...

Amino acids in sheep production.

Increasing production efficiency with a high standard of animal welfare and respect for the environment is a goal of sheep farming systems. Substantial gains in productivity have been achieved through improved genetics, nutrition and management changes; however the survival and growth performance of multiple-born lambs still remains a problem. This is a significant production efficiency and ani...

Ileal Digestibility of Amino Acids in Fish Meal-Based Diets for Broiler Starters Using Regression Technique

An experiment was conducted to determine apparent ileal digestibility of crude protein (CP) and amino acids (AA) and digestible CP and AA of fish meal (FM) in 21-d-old broiler chickens using the regression technique. Four diets containing 0, 1, 2, and 3% FM in place of cornstarch were formulated with FM as the sole contributor of CP and AAs in the sequential diets. Eighty 14-d-old broiler chick...
