4-Acetyl-1H-pyrrole-2-carbaldehyde

The title compound, C(7)H(7)NO(2), was synthesized via a one-pot Vilsmeier-Haack and subsequent Friedel-Crafts reaction. The pyrazole ring makes dihedral angles of 4.50 (9) and 2.06 (8)°, respectively, with the aldehyde and acetyl groups. In the crystal, classical N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and weak C-H⋯O inter-actions assemble the mol-ecules into a chain along the b axis.

In the title compound, C(17)H(15)NO, the benzene ring and the indole system are almost perpendicular, making a dihedral angle of 87.82 (6)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by C-H⋯O and π-π stacking inter-actions with centroid-centroid distances of 3.592 (4) Å between the pyrrole and the benzene rings in the indole systems of neighboring mol-ecules.

The title compound, C(5)H(7)N(3)O, was obtained by the reaction of ethyl 1H-pyrrol-2-carboxyl-ate and hydrazide hydrate. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via inter-molecular N-H⋯N and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a supra-molecular grid.
