چکیده
DNA methylation is one of major epigenetic mechanisms by which regulate a panel gene expressions. An old but revisiting compound, 5-azacytidine, pyrimidine nucleoside analog cytidine that can inhibit methyltransferase, induce cell differentiation, and has direct cytotoxicity on abnormal bone marrow hematopoietic cells. Thus, systemic administration 5-azacytidine been approved for the treatment myelodysplastic syndrome acute myeloid leukemia. However, effect topical skin inflammation largely unknown. To this end, we utilized croton oil (CrO)-induced irritant contact dermatitis (ICD) model 2,4-dinitrofluorobenzene (DNFB)-induced allergic (ACD) model. At day -1, vehicle or 1 mg solution was applied to each ear. 0, 1% CrO both ear, ear thickness measured over time. Interestingly, swelling response in 5-azacytidine-treated significantly increased prolonged compared with vehicle-treated In DNFB-induced ACD model, application abdomen before sensitization 0.5% DNFB did not alter following swelling. sharp contrast, DNFB-sensitized mice elicitation 0.2% decreased These data suggest differently influences ICD as well phase ACD. Topical must modify bunch protein it could be therapeutic option

متن کاملCytokines and Chemokines in Irritant Contact Dermatitis
Irritant contact dermatitis is a result of activated innate immune response to various external stimuli and consists of complex interplay which involves skin barrier disruption, cellular changes, and release of proinflammatory mediators. In this review, we will focus on key cytokines and chemokines involved in the pathogenesis of irritant contact dermatitis and also contrast the differences bet...
متن کامل[Allergic contact dermatitis and systemic contact dermatitis in a patient with polysensitization to topical corticosteroids].
Although allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) due to corticosteroids is a well-known and relatively common phenomenon, the systemic administration of corticosteroids only rarely produces skin reactions (systemic contact dermatitis [SCD]). We present the case of a patient with ACD to various corticosteroids, and who subsequently developed SCD to multiple systemic corticosteroids. A 47-year-old man ...
متن کاملGender differences in topical treatment of allergic contact dermatitis.
Sir, Females report skin disease more often than males (1–3), and female gender is a predisposing factor to allergic contact dermatitis because of gender differences in exposure patterns (4–6). No significant differences in quality of life (QoL) scores have been reported between males and females with allergic contact dermatitis, but females report a higher degree of emotional distress (7, 8) a...
