the purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between family functioning and marital adjustment humor couples are due to the nature and objectives of the research and application of methods for its implementation correlation was used. the study population consisted of all the couples in the city who uses random cluster sampling of 200 students were selected as sample. data from questionnaires, family functioning, marital humor is used to validate and their reliability has been confirmed. analysis of data obtained from a questionnaire is done at two levels: descriptive and inferential statistics. the descriptive statistics of statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean and sd has been used. inferential level pearson correlation and regression are used. the findings showed that the marital relationship between the family and the playful wit significant. there is a significant relationship between humor and performance families. also the family humor can be pre predict marital compatibility.
