this study aims to investigate value conflicts between mothers and their daughters among families and influential factors on this conflict in yazd city. this study adopted a survey method and a questionnaire was used that its validity through construct validity (factor analysis) and its reliability by cronbach alpha were measured. the population of this study consists of all yazdian families that from them 776 persons through multi-stage stratified sampling were selected and data from every family, mother and daughter were collected. the results indicated that relationship with peers, socialization styles, globalization values, quality of family relationship and rate of religiosity have an important role in conflict between mothers and daughters in yazd city; parents are more religious than daughters; values and interests of mothers and daughters in basic and humane dimensions are still intact and have not been under influence of external values and cultures. the results of multivariate analysis showed that the variables of family relationships, religiosity, globalization values and socialization styles have explained 17.9% of variable changes of mothers-daughters conflict
