The unsteady flow of a visco-elastic Maxwell fluid through a rectilinear pipe having its cross-section as a parallelogram under the influence of a axial pressure gradient (I) varying linearly with time , and (II) decreasing exponentially with time has been discussed in the present paper. Variables separable and Laplace transform methods have been used to solve the problem.
The present investigation studies the behavior of steady flow of visco-elastic liquid between two porous coaxial circular cylinders, where both the cylinders are rotating with different uniform angular velocities about the common axis. In addition, the inner cylinder has uniform velocity along the axis and the visco-elastic fluid, which is a Walters liquid B′, is allowed to flow in the annulus....
An analysis of two dimensional unsteady electrically conducting visco-elastic fluid flow through a porous medium has been carried out in this paper in presence of simultaneous heat and mass transfer. The porous medium is bounded by two horizontal plates moving in opposite directions. The visco-elastic fluid is characterized by Walters liquid (Model ). A magnetic field of uniform strength B0 is ...
A two dimensional numerical study has been performed to investigate on heat transfer of hydrate slurry transported by a visco-elastic fluid in a cavity. In order to investigate the optimum geometric parameter, the effects of the rib height and the cavity length were changed in three steps, respectively. From the results, it is found that hydrate particles dispersed with Newtonian fluid (water) ...
An analysis of unsteady MHD flow of an electrically conducting visco-elastic fluid confined between two horizontal parallel non conducting plates in presence of a transverse magnetic field and Hall current is presented. The lower plate is a stretching sheet while the upper one is an oscillating porous plate, which is oscillating in its own plane. The motion of the fluid is produced by the stret...
The immersed boundary (IB) method is a mathematical formulation for fluid-structure interaction problems, where immersed incompressible visco-elastic bodies or boundaries interact with an incompressible fluid. The original numerical scheme associated to the IB method requires a smoothed approximation of the Dirac delta distribution to link the moving Lagrangian domain with the fixed Eulerian on...

An analysis of radiation and soret effect on visco-elastic mhd oscillatory flow with heat and mass transfer through a porous medium bounded by two infinite horizontal parallel porous plates in presence of chemical reaction and a heat source has been presented when one plate is kept at rest while the other is oscillating in its own plane. The fluid is considered to be non-Newtonian characterized...
An analysis of free convective MHD visco-elastic fluid flow with heat and mass transfer over a vertical plate moving with a constant velocity in presence of Dufour and Soret effects has been presented. The fluid is considered to be non-Newtonian characterized by Walters liquid (Model B′). The surface temperature is assumed to oscillate with small amplitude about a non-uniform mean temperature. ...
Various models of tumor growth are available in the litterature. A first class describes the evolution of the cell number density when considered as a continuous visco-elastic material with growth. A second class, describes the tumor as a set and rules for the free boundary are given related to the classical Hele-Shaw model of fluid dynamics. Following the lines of previous papers where the mat...
