Ureteral triplication is a rare congenital anomaly of the urinary tract. We report a case of ureteral triplication with contralateral partial kidney duplication in a patient with right loin pain. The development and types of ureteral triplication and the features of type 2 ureteral triplication on intravenous urography and magnetic resonance urography are described.

Somatic mutations in the mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) displacement loop (D-loop) region have been frequently detected in various human cancers. In a previous study, we identified a polyplasmic 260-bp tandem duplication and triplication mutation in the mtDNA D-loop of one gastric cancer. In the present study, we adopted a more sensitive back-to-back polymerase chain reaction method to screen for th...

Ureteral triplication is one of the rarest malformations of the upper urinary tract. The association of ureteral triplication and obstruction is even rarer. We report a rare case of ureteral triplication with hydronephrosis due to ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) obstruction and stenosis at the upper pole ureter. To the best of our knowledge, this is only second such case reported in literature. Th...

Submit Manuscript | http://medcraveonline.com 100 cases have been reported in the literature. It was classified into four types by Smith in his review of 11 cases in 1946 [2]. Bilateral ureteral triplication is rare than bilateral ureteral duplication. Only 5 cases of bilateral ureteral triplication have been reported so far in medical literature [3]. Furthermore, ureteral triplication is occas...

CONTEXT Chromosomal abnormalities that involve the proximal region of chromosome 15q occur relatively frequently in the human population. However, interstitial triplications involving one 15 homologue are very rare with three cases reported to date. OBJECTIVE To provide a detailed molecular characterisation of four additional patients with interstitial triplications of chromosome 15q11-q14. ...

fusion is an anomaly manifested in both deciduous and permanent dentitions. fu- sion of dental tissues in the primary dentition is of clinical significance owing to the challenges in treatment of the affected teeth and aberrations encountered in development and eruption of their successors. triple tooth refers to the :union: of three separate tooth entities. it can occur by fusion, germination,...

A large number of choices exist when designing a reliable memory system. The choices range from simple replication to complex error control codes (ECC). An intermediate solution is to use combination of replication and simple ECC. Such a system consists of multiple memory modules, data stored in each module being encoded using an ECC. This paper compares reliability of memory systems formed usi...

We describe a patient with a de novo chromosomal aberration with karyotype 46,XY,10q+, presenting clinical features of partial duplication of distal chromosome 10q. Further studies using microsatellites and FISH showed a triplication of distal chromosome 10q. The rearrangement involved both maternal homologues and the middle chromosomal 10q fragment of the triplication was inverted, similar to ...

Fusion is an anomaly manifested in both deciduous and permanent dentitions. Triple tooth refers to the union of three separate tooth entities. It can involve the normal dentition or supernumerary teeth. Triplication is rarely encountered in deciduous and permanent dentition with an incidence of 0.02%. The case presented herein describes a rare case of triplication in permanent maxillary incisor...

A large number of choices exist when designing a reliable memory system. The choices range from simple replication to complex error control codes (ECC). Simple replication (without ECC) has a better performance as compared to systems using ECC, as ECC necessitate decoding, deteriorating the performance. Clearly, simple replication improves performance at the cost of increased redundancy. An int...
