Surface nuclear magnetic resonance (surface-NMR) method is a well-known tool for determining the water-bearing layers and subsurface resistivity structure. Harmonic interference is an inevitable interference in surface-NMR measurements. Accurate estimation of harmonic interference parameters (i.e., fundamental frequency, phase and amplitude) leads to better retrieval of power-line harmonics and...

in this thesis, phosphorus ylides [phbppy], [no2bppy] and [brbppy] have been synthesized through the formation of phosphonium salt and dihydrogenation, followed by the reaction of pd(oac)2 and the orthopalladated dinuclear complexes [pd(?-cl)(phbppy)]2, [pd(?-cl)(no2bppy)]2 and [pd(?-cl)(brbppy)]2 have been produced. the reaction of dinuclear complexes and bidentate ligands [l = bipy (2,2-bipyr...

a recorded nerve signal via an electrode is composed of many evokes or action potentials, (originated from individual axons) which may be considered as different initial sources. recovering these primitive sources in its turn may lead us to the anatomic originations of a nerve signal which will give us outstanding foresights in neural rehabilitations. accordingly, clinical interests may be r...

It is shown that surface NMR spectra can be greatly enhanced using dynamic nuclear polarization. Polarization is transferred from the protons of the solvent to the rare nuclei (here carbon-13 at natural isotopic abundance) at the surface, yielding at least a 50-fold signal enhancement for surface species covalently incorporated into a silica framework.

The production of hyperpolarized fluids in continuous mode would broaden substantially the range of applications in chemistry, materials science, and biomedicine. Here we show that the rational design of a heterogeneous catalyst based on a judicious choice of metal type, nanoparticle size and surface decoration with appropriate ligands leads to highly efficient pairwise addition of dihydrogen a...

Li rechargeable cells made with structural arrangement Li/membrane/ LixV2O5 were examined under three states using NMR spectroscopy; these states are charged, discharged, and over-cycled. 7Li NMR signals at chemical shifts of 0 ppm and around -20 ppm from the resonance frequency, which corresponds to the Li ions from the residual electrolyte at the cathode surface and inside the cathode materia...

The general theory of surface NMR imaging of large electromagnetically active systems is considered, motivated by geophysical applications. A general imaging equation is derived for the NMR voltage response, valid for arbitrary transmitter and receiver loop geometry and arbitrary conductivity structure of the sample. When the conductivity grows to the point where the electromagnetic skin depth ...

give them important clues about the current chemical environment of the moon (from surface samples) and about the presence of a lunar sea or ocean in the distant past (from core samples). Present-day commercial NMR spectrometers are capable of accomplishing, unaided, the work assigned to the JPL team with a creditable degree of success. But when you're analyzing samples that cost about a millio...

The nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center in diamond has enabled studies of nanoscale nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and electron paramagnetic with high sensitivity small sample volumes. Most NV-detected NMR (NV-NMR) experiments are performed at low fields. While fields useful many applications, high-field NV-NMR fine spectral resolution, signal sensitivity, the capability to observe a wider range nuc...

We present a scheme of surface-sensitive nuclear magnetic resonance in optically pumped semiconductors, where an NMR signal from a part of the surface of a bulk compound semiconductor is detected apart from the bulk signal. It utilizes optically oriented nuclei with a long spin-lattice relaxation time as a polarization reservoir for the second (target) nuclei to be detected. It provides a basis...
