The fact that most of the physical phenomena are modelled by nonlinear differential equations underlines the importance of having reliable methods for solving them. This work presents the rational biparameter homotopy perturbation method RBHPM as a novel tool with the potential to find approximate solutions for nonlinear differential equations. The method generates the solutions in the form of ...

The variational iterationmethod VIM 1–4 and homotopy perturbationmethod HPM 5– 8 , proposed byHe, are powerful analytical methods for various kinds of linear and nonlinear problems. For example, the variational iteration method has been applied to autonomous ordinary differential equation 9 and delay differential equation 10 . Abdou and Soliman applied this method to Schrodinger-KDV, generalize...

In this work, the Blasius equation is studied. Homotopy perturbation method (HPM) and homotopy analysis method (HAM) are applied to obtain its solution. Comparison with variational iteration method (VIM) is made to highlight the significant features of employed methods and their capability of handling nonlinear problems. The outcome shows the success of (HPM) and (HAM) for solving nonlinear pro...

In this paper, we present homotopy perturbation method (HPM) for solving the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation and convergence study of homotopy perturbation method for nonlinear partial differential equation. We compared our solution with the exact solution and homotopy analysis method (HAM). The results show that the HPM is an appropriate method for solving nonlinear equation.

In this paper, we have applied the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) for obtaining the analytical solution of unsteady flow of gas through a porous medium and we have also compared the findings of this research with some other analytical results. Results showed a very good agreement between results of HPM and the numerical solutions of the problem rather than other analytical solutions which h...

Aim of the paper is to investigate applications of Homotopy Perturbation Method(HPM) on non-linear physical problems .Some coupled non-linear partial differential equations are considered and solved numerically using Homotopy Perturbation Method. The results obtained by HPM are compared with those obtained by Adomian Decomposition Method. The behavior of Homotopic solution is shown through grap...

In this paper, we introduce a method to solve linear stiff IVPs. The suggested method, which we call modified homotopy perturbation method, can be considered as an extension of the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) which is very efficient in solving a varety of differential and algebraic equations. In this work, a class of linear stiff initial value problems (IVPs) are solved by the classical ...

In this paper, He’s homotopy perturbation method (HPM) is applied to spatial one and three spatial dimensional inhomogeneous wave equation Cauchy problems for obtaining exact solutions. HPM is used for analytic handling of these equations. The results reveal that the HPM is a very effective, convenient and quite accurate to such types of partial differential equations (PDEs). Keywords—Homotopy ...

We introduce two powerful methods to solve the Davey-Stewartson equations: one is the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) and the other is the homotopy analysis method (HAM). HAM is a strong and easy to use analytic tool for nonlinear problems. Comparison of the HPM results with the HAM results, and compute the absolute errors between the exact solutions of the DS equations with the HPM solution...
