Se describe una nueva especie de alacrán, Diplocentrus leptomanus sp. nov., proveniente la región noreste del estado Sonora, México. Con este aporte, se eleva a cinco el número especies género presentes en y dos endémicas área. provee diagnosis comparativa con williamsi Sissom & Wheeler, 1995, peloncillensis Francke, 1975 spitzeri Stahnke, 1970, las que guarda cercanía morfológica geográfica.
