co-channel interference is a major factor in limiting the capacity and link quality in cellular communications. as the co-channel interference is modeled by lognormal distribution, sum of the co-channel interferences of neighboring cells is represented by the sum of lognormal random variables (rvs) which has no closed-form expression. assuming independent, identically distributed (iid) rvs, the...

The ratio of independent random variables arises in many applied problems. In this article, the distribution of the ratio X/Y is studied, when X and Y are independent Rice random variables. Ratios of such random variable have extensive applications in the analysis of noises of communication systems. The exact forms of probability density function (PDF), cumulative distribution function (CDF) a...

In this paper, a new generalization of the half-normal distribution which is called the perturbed half-normal distribution is introduced. The new distribution belongs to a family of distributions which includes the half-normal distribution along with an extra parameter to regulate skewness. The probability density function (pdf) is derived and some various properties of the new distribution are...

In this correspondence, we point out two typographical errors in Chai and Tjhung’s paper and we offer the correct formula of the unified Laguerre polynomial-seriesbased cumulative distribution function (cdf) for small-scale fading distributions. A Laguerre polynomial-series-based cdf formula for non-central chi-square distribution is also provided as a special case of our unified cdf result.

this paper proposes a hybrid method to find cumulative distribution function (cdf) of completion time of gert-type networks (gtn) which have no loop and have only exclusive-or nodes. proposed method is cre-ated by combining an analytical transformation with gaussian quadrature formula. also the combined crude monte carlo simulation and combined conditional monte carlo simulation are developed a...

A simultaneous confidence band (SCB) for the cumulative distribution function (cdf) of a random variable can be used to assess the statistical uncertainty of the estimated cdf. Cheng and Iles (1983) presented a general approach of constructing an SCB for the cdf of a continuous random variable derived from a 100(1−α)% simultaneous confidence region (SCR) for the parameters of the distribution. ...

istribution of Lindley distribution constructed by combining the cumulative function (cdf) Lomax and distributions. Some mathematical properties new are discussed including moments, quantile moment generating function. Estimation model parameters is carried out using maximum likelihood method. Finally, real data examples presented to illustrate usefulness applicability this distribution.

The statistical properties of the multivariate GammaGamma (ΓΓ) distribution with arbitrary correlation have remained unknown. In this paper, we provide analytical expressions for the joint probability density function (PDF), cumulative distribution function (CDF) and moment generation function of the multivariate ΓΓ distribution with arbitrary correlation. Furthermore, we present novel approxim...

In this letter, an efficient approach for the evaluation of the Nakagamimultivariate probability density function (pdf) and cumulative distribution function (cdf) with arbitrary correlation is presented. Approximating the correlation matrix with a Green’s matrix, useful closed formulas for the joint Nakagamipdf and cdf, are derived. The proposed approach is a significant theoretical tool that c...
