adult ureteroceles are generally known as simple ureteroceles with minimal obstructive effects 1 that can usually be managed endoscopically. such pathology presented with acute abdominal pain and fever in a 32-year-old man with left renal agenesia, a cranial blind left ureter and left obstructed ureterocele. the retained secretions were suppurative.

Unilateral single ectopic ureters associated with contra lateral renal agenesia and hypoplastic bladder are rare and difficult to treat. Urinary diversion is usually performed because of small bladder capacity. We report a case treated by staged operation without urinary diversion or bladder augmentation.

This is a report of a rare case of intravesical and unilateral ureterocele in a young man (25 years old) with ipsilateral kidney agenesia. He was referred to our urology clinic with frequent retention. Ultimate diagnosis made by US, IVP and CT Scan. This ureterocele operated via cystostomy.
