in this paper, we characterize multiresolution analysis(mra) parseval frame multiwavelets in l^2(r^d) with matrix dilations of the form (d f )(x) = sqrt{2}f (ax), where a is an arbitrary expanding dtimes d matrix with integer coefficients, such that |deta| =2. we study a class of generalized low pass matrix filters that allow us to define (and construct) the subclass of mra tight frame multiwav...

in this paper, some results of the chebyshev type integral inequality for the pseudo-integral are proven. the obtained results, are related to the measure of a level set of the maximum and the sum of two non-negative integrable functions. finally, we applied our results  to the case of comonotone functions.

abstract scaling methods, which are based on similar media theory, are used to simplify the statistic description of soil spatial variations. to simulate the water flow in heterogeneous soils, simultaneous scaling of soil hydraulic functions, including soil water retention and unsaturated hydraulic conductivity functions, is highly desirable. in the similar media theory, the simultaneous scalin...

in this work we deal with the question: how can one improve the approximation level for some nonlinear integral equations? good candidates for this aim are semi orthogonal b-spline scaling functions and their duals. although there are different works in this area, only b-spline of degree at most 2 are used for this approximation. here we compute b-spline scaling functions of degree 4 and their ...

Reversible logic is becoming more and more prominent as the technology sets higher demands on heat, power, scaling and stability. Reversible gates are able at any time to ”undo” the current step or function. Multiple-valued logic has the advantage of transporting and evaluating higher bits each clock cycle than binary. Moreover, we demonstrate in this paper, combining these disciplines we can c...

We report a suboptimal wavelet packet (WP) representation of signals emanating from a chaotic attractor contaminated by low levels of noise. Our method—geared towards choosing a suboptimal scaling function to parsimoniously represent the signalinvolves extracting local eigenfunctions using artificial ensembles generated from a pseudo-probability space, and using the extracted local eigenfunctio...

Multi-Supply voltage design using Cluster Voltage Scaling (CVS) is an effective way to reduce power consumption without performance degradation. One of the major issues in this method is performance and power overheads due to insertion of Level Converting Flip-Flops (LCFF) at the interface from low-supply to high-supply clusters to simultaneously perform latching and level conversion. In this p...

We present pseudo-potential coefficients for the first two rows of the periodic table. The pseudo potential is of a novel analytic form, that gives optimal efficiency in numerical calculations using plane waves as basis set. At most 7 coefficients are necessary to specify its analytic form. It is separable and has optimal decay properties in both real and Fourier space. Because of this property...
