Objective(s): Production of a recombinant and immunogenic antigen using dengue virus type-3 envelope protein is a key point in dengue vaccine development and diagnostic researches. The goals of this study were providing a recombinant protein from dengue virus type-3 envelope protein and evaluation of its immunogenicity in mice. Materials and Methods: Multiple amino acid sequences of different i...

Dengue is a vector-borne disease caused by dengue virus. According to the recent report of CDC that one-third population of the world are at high risk with Dengue fever. The prevalence of the dengue hemorrhagic fever was found more in tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world. Aedes mosquitoes was reported as the main cause of transmission of dengue virus. So the current study was planned ...

background and objectives: dengue has re-emerged as an important arboviral disease causing significant morbidity. it has become hyperendemic in the indian subcontinent with all four known dengue serotypes circulating. materials and methods: multiple sequence alignments and phylogenetic trees of denv-3 were constructed to determine the extent of the isolated dengue virus genetic heterogeneity an...

Background: Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral disease that has rapidly spread in all regions in recent years. There is little information on dengue fever epidemiology in Iran. High prevalence of dengue fever in Pakistan bordering southeast Iran emphasizes the need for paying more attention to monitoring of the disease in this region. The aim of this study was to study the dengue...

Since 2000-2001, dengue virus type 1 has circulated in the Pacific region. However, in 2007, type 4 reemerged and has almost completely displaced the strains of type 1. If only 1 serotype circulates at any time and is replaced approximately every 5 years, DENV-3 may reappear in 2012.

In 2008, dengue virus serotype 4 (DENV-4) emerged in northeastern Peru, causing a large outbreak and displacing DENV-3, which had predominated for the previous 6 years. Phylogenetic analysis of 2008 and 2009 isolates support their inclusion into DENV-4 genotype II, forming a lineage distinct from strains that had previously circulated in the region.

In 2009, dengue virus serotype 3 (DENV-3) was first detected in Guangzhou, China. In this study, we identified another isolated strain belonging to genotype II. Phylogenetic analysis shows that the GZ/10476/2012 strain has a close relationship with the DENV-3 genotype II from Southeast Asian strains.

Since January 2012, 20 autochthonous cases of dengue virus (DENV) infection have been identified in Réunion. The first cases were detected on the western coast, but the two co-circulating viruses (DENV-1 and DENV-3) seemed to have spread later to different cities of the island. There is a non-negligible risk of increase in viral transmission over the following weeks, so health professionals and...

results upon the results from literature search, the researchers found that human is the main reservoir for this virus. there are four serotypes of virus. infection with one serotype cannot protect human against the other three serotypes. dengue fever begins suddenly with an onset of an influenza-like syndrome and sometimes progresses to severe form of the disease. treatment is supportive and i...
