در بررسی‎های انجام شده در خصوص شناسایی عوامل کنترل کننده طبیعی شب‎پره شمشاد در جنگل‎های هیرکانی در بهار 1397، مگس Compsilura concinnata (Meigen)، از خانواده Tachinidae به عنوان پارازیتویید آفت از ذخیره‌گاه شمشاد چشمه بلبل منطقه بندرگز واقع در استان گلستان، جمع‎آوری شد. این گونه به عنوان اولین گزارش پارازیتیسمی شب‎پره شمشاد از ایران می‎باشد.
