Different convergence and comparison theorems for proper regular splittings and proper weak regular splittings are discussed. The notion of double splitting is also extended to rectangular matrices. Finally, convergence and comparison theorems using this notion are presented.
We prove common fixed point theorems for four mappings in compact metric spaces satisfying implicit relations using the concept of occasionally weak compatibility which generalize Theorems of [1], [18] and [19]. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 54H25, 47H10.
In this paper, we prove some common fixed point theorems for co-cyclic weak contractions in compact metric spaces. Keywords—Cyclic weak contraction, Co-cyclic weak contraction, Co-cyclic representation, Common fixed point.
Theorems on extremal set systems with intersections of restricted cardinality are probably among the most well-known and powerful theorems in extremal combinatorics. In this paper, we discuss the so-call ”weak” version of some theorems of this type, when the restricted intersection property is weakened by the possible existence of some (maybe many) intersections having ”bad” sizes. In particula...
Several weak base (in the sense of A. V. Arhangel'skiT) metrization theorems are established, including a weak base generalization of the Nagata-Smirnov Metrization Theorem.
We prove uniform convergence results for the integrated periodogram of a weakly dependent time series, namely a law of large numbers and a central limit theorem. These results are applied to Whittle’s parametric estimation. Under general weak-dependence assumptions we derive uniform limit theorems and asymptotic normality of Whittle’s estimate for a large class of models. For instance the causa...
In [1] Dhage, O’Regan and Agarwal introduced the class of weak isotone mappings and the class of countably condensing mappings in an ordered Banach space and they prove some common fixed point theorems for weak isotone mappings. In this paper we introduce the notion of g-weak isotone mappings which allows us to generalize some common fixed point theorems of [1]. We recall the definition of orde...
With the help of continuations, we rst construct a transformation T which transforms every term t into a I-term T (t). Then we apply the conservation theorem in -calculus to show that t is strongly normalisable if T (t) has a -normal form. In this way, we succeed in establishing the equivalence between weak and strong normalisation theorems in various typed -calculi. This not only enhances the ...
With the help of continuations, we first construct a transformation T which transforms every Aterm t into a AJ-term T(t). Then we apply the conservation theorem in A-calculus to show that t is strongly normalisable if T(t) has a /J-normal form. In this way, we succeed in establishing the equivalence between weak and strong normalisation theorems in various typed A-calculi. This not only enhance...
Weak convergence of a stochastic process defined on a function space is discussed. In doing so we explore various weak convergence results generically called functional central limit theorems or invariance principles. Emphasis is placed on how to apply those theorems to deal with statistics arising from nonstationary linear time series models. It turns out that, in most cases, the continuous ma...
