The problem of intellectual support of initial design stages of complex technical objects is considered. The method, based on construction of approximated fuzzy model (Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy system) using Data Mining methods and following optimization procedure with genetic algorithm is provided.

This paper introduces a new type of fuzzy inference systems, denoted as dynamic evolving neural-fuzzy inference system (DENFIS), for adaptive online and offline learning, and their application for dynamic time series prediction. DENFIS evolve through incremental, hybrid (supervised/unsupervised), learning, and accommodate new input data, including new features, new classes, etc., through local ...

To describe expert uncertainty, it is often useful to go beyond additive probability measures and use non-additive (fuzzy) measures. One of the most widely and successfully used class of such measures is the class of Sugeno λ-measures. Their success is somewhat paradoxical, since from the purely mathematical viewpoint, these measures are – in some reasonable sense – equivalent to probability me...

Our paper deals with the necessary properties in Fuzzy Measures. Therefore, it belongs to Fuzzy Mathematical Analysis. The Possibility Theory was created by Zadeh in a paper of 1978. As general purpose, to obtain a way to model flexible restrictions constructed from vague pieces of information. If we study the counterparts of expectations (from Probability Theory) in Possibility Theory, we obta...

In this paper, a neural network-driven fuzzy reasoning system for stock price forecast is proposed on the basis of improved Takagi-Sugeno reasoning model. The experimental result shows that the fuzzy neural network has such properties as fast convergence, high precision and strong function approximation ability and is suitable for real stock price prediction.

-This study addresses a fuzzy Lyapunov method for the stability analysis of time-delay fuzzy systems subject to external disturbances. The Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model and parallel distributed compensation (PDC) scheme are first employed to design a nonlinear fuzzy controller in order to stabilize the time-delay fuzzy systems. According to the controlled system, the H infinity criterion is d...

There are two approaches to extract a linear model from a Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model for model based control. The first local approach obtains the linear model by interpolating the parameters of the local models in the TS model, while the second one is based on linearization by Taylor expansion. The locally interpreted interpolated model is not identical to the model obtained by the linearizatio...

Abstract Structure identification is one of the most significant steps in Fuzzy modeling of a complex system. Efficient structure identification requires good approximation of the effective input data. Misclassification of effective input data can highly degrade the efficiency of the inference of the fuzzy model. In this paper we present a modification to Sugeno-Yasukawa modeler to improve stru...

Abstract In this paper, a stability control approach of flexible joint robot (FJR) based T-S fuzzy model using fuzzy Lyapunov function is proposed. First, the Takagi and Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model is employed to approximate the flexible joint robot, then a fuzzy controller is developed based on parallel distributed compensation principle (PDC). The non-quadratic stability conditions for the flexi...

This paper studies fuzzy filtering design for a class of nonlinear discrete-time uncertain stochastic systems. First, the Takagi and Sugeno fuzzy model is proposed to approximate a nonlinear discrete-time uncertain stochastic system. Next, based on the fuzzy model, the fuzzy estimation for nonlinear discrete-time uncertain stochastic systems is studied. Using a suboptimal approach, the fuzzy es...
