We present a statistical study of the Purcell enhancement of the light emission from quantum dots coupled to Anderson-localized cavities formed in disordered photonic-crystal waveguides. We measure the time-resolved light emission from both single quantum emitters coupled to Anderson-localized cavities and directly from the cavities that are fed by multiple quantum dots. Strongly inhibited and ...

abstract the spontaneous emission spectrum from a driven three-level atom placed inside a double-band photonic crystal has been investigated. we use the model which assumes the upper levels of the atomic transition are coupled via a classical driving field. the transition from one of the upper levels to lower level couples to the modes of the modified reservoir, and the transition from the othe...

the entanglement between a ?-type three-level atom and its spontaneous emission fields is investigated. the effect of spontaneously generated coherence (sgc) on entanglement between the atom and its spontaneous emission fields is then discussed. we find that in the presence of sgc the entanglement between the atom and its spontaneous emission fields is completely phase dependent, while in absen...

Solid-state quantum emitters, such as the nitrogen-vacancy centre in diamond1, are robust systems for practical realizations of various quantum information processing protocols2–5 and nanoscale magnetometry schemes6,7 at room temperature. Such applications benefit from the high emission efficiency and flux of single photons, which can be achieved by engineering the electromagnetic environment o...

To move nanophotonic devices such as lasers and single-photon sources into the practical realm, a challenging list of requirements must be met, including directional emission1–5, room-temperature and broadband operation6–9, high radiative quantum efficiency1,4 and a large spontaneous emission rate7. To achieve these features simultaneously, a platform is needed for which the various decay chann...

The time evaluation of quantum entropy in a four-level double- type atomic system is theoretically investigated. Quantum entanglement of the atom and its spontaneous emission fields is then discussed via quantum entropy. It is found that the degree of entanglement can be increased by the quantum interference induced by spontaneous emission. The phase dependence of the atom-field entanglement is...

In this paper, we study the robust technique of stimulated Raman adiabatic passage in an optical cavity considering decoherence effects of atomic spontaneous emission and cavity decay. Numerical solution of Liouville equation shows that the population transfer of the system is more sensitive to the cavity decay than the atomic spontaneous emission.
