This paper de s c ribes a context based technique for smoothing digital thematic maps produced by multispec tral classification of Landsat Thematic Mapper data . The output of this technique i s a "maplike" product which can be directly used as input to a geographic information system.

Three new flavonol malonylrhamnosides, 3-O-(4"-O-malonyl)-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosides of mearnsetin, myricetin and quercetin respectively, together with the corresponding mearnsitrin, myricitrin, quercitrin and the 4-O-methyl phloracetophenone 2-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside, were isolated from the leaves of Ribes alpinum and fully characterized by spectrocopic methods including 2D NMR.

Three different crude drug combinations viz; the extracts of bark, leaf and stem of A. indica; fruits of P. longum and berries of E. ribes prepared using different solvents were tested for their anti-ovulatory effect in female albino rats. The first and third combinations have shown promising results in terms of prolongation of disastrous phase of estrous cycle.
