in this paper, we investigate variation of the wavelength, intensity and polarization of the self-assembled inas/gaas quantum dots emission by microphotoluminescence spectroscopy at the liquid helium temperature. the microcavity wafer sample is grown by molecular beam epitaxy (mbe) and chemically etched into the micropillar structure (with elliptical cross section - long and short axis 2µm×1.5µ...

Control over the organization of quantum rods was demonstrated by changing the surface area at the air-liquid interface by means of the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique. The LB isotherm of CdTe quantum rods capped with a mixture of alkylphosphines shows a transition point in the liquid-solid state, which is caused by the inter-rod reorganization. As we observed, at low surface pressure the quan...

The casimir pressure on a non ideal conducting slab is calculated. Using a simple model for the conductivity according to which the slab is perfectly conducting at frequencies below plasma frequency ωp and perfectly transparent above such frequency, it is found that the vacuum pressure on each surface of the slab is h̄ω p 24πc which is finite without removal of any divergence.

Context. The widespread view that cosmological neutrinos, even if massive, are well described since the decoupling redshift z ≈ 1010 down to the present epoch by an almost perfectly collisionless fluid of classical point particles is re-examined. Aims. In view of the likely sub-eV rest mass of neutrinos, the main effects due to their fermionic nature are studied. Methods. By numerical means we ...

Studying mechanical resonators via radiation pressure offers a rich avenue for the exploration of quantum mechanical behavior in a macroscopic regime. However, quantum state preparation and especially quantum state reconstruction of mechanical oscillators remains a significant challenge. Here we propose a scheme to realize quantum state tomography, squeezing, and state purification of a mechani...

here, the concept of quantum potential that has been illustrated in extended phase space (eps) in previous works is explored for its marginal behavior. unlike in configuration space, different representations of the quantum mechanics can be found in eps when exploiting appropriate canonical transformations. these canonical transformations revealed that there exist several representations in whi...

application of quantum-dot is a promising technology for implementing digital systems at nano-scale.  quantum-dot cellular automata (qca) is a system with low power consumption and a potentially high density and regularity. also, qca supports the new devices with nanotechnology architecture. this technique works based on electron interactions inside quantum-dots leading to emergence of quantum ...

The effect of increasing quantum bits and Unruh effect on quantum Prisoners’ dilemma has been investigated for both entangled and unentangled initial states. The Nash equilibrium, as an important result of quantum game theory, was obtained through the different payoffs resulted from choosing various strategies. It has been shown that the non-inertial frame disturbs the symmetry of the game. Act...

The electronic conductance at zero temperature through a quantum wire with side-connected asymmetric quantum ring (as a scatter system) is theoretically studied using the non-interacting Hamiltonian Anderson tunneling method. In this paper we concentrate on the configuration of the quantum dot rings. We show that the asymmetric structure of QD-scatter system strongly influences the amplitude an...

The rank-k numerical range has a close connection to the construction of quantum error correction code for a noisy quantum channel. For noisy quantum channel, a quantum error correcting code of dimension k exists if and only if the associated joint rank-k numerical range is non-empty. In this paper the notion of joint rank-k numerical range is generalized and some statements of [2011, Generaliz...
