The farmers have widely used vegetative propagation of plants due to the low germination percentage seeds various plant species. So study asexual technique Populus deltoides, present was conducted where a number stem cuttings Poplar were treated with growth hormones: IBA (Indole-3-butyric acid), NAA (1-Naphthaleneacetic acid) and GA3 (Gibberellic at different concentrations (100 ppm, 200 ppm 30...

The development of sandification process was studied, by monitoring the changes of sediment characteristics, at marsh-sandy land intersections in China's Songnen region. A series of sediment collection plates were deployed in the region; after one year, sediments in these plates were analyzed for changes of mass and chemical characteristics. The sediment flux and the sand content of the sedimen...

BACKGROUND Microorganisms serve important functions within numerous eukaryotic host organisms. An understanding of the variation in the plant niche-level microbiome, from rhizosphere soils to plant canopies, is imperative to gain a better understanding of how both the structural and functional processes of microbiomes impact the health of the overall plant holobiome. Using Populus trees as a mo...

ABSTRACT Nonhost resistance is hypothesized to protect plants in a nonspecific manner. For highly specialized parasites, this hypothesis applies not only to distantly related plants but also to resistant congeners of the host species. Congeners of Populus spp. were hybridized to create two interspecific hybrid poplar pedigrees (i.e., Populus trichocarpa x P. deltoides and P. trichocarpa x P. ma...

Bud exudates from twelve clones o f Populus nigra originating from seven countries were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and the principal compounds identified. Specimens o f P. nigra var betulifolia differed in bud exudate composition from the other speci mens analyzed, and were more similar in exudate composition to P. deltoides than were the other specimens. The range o f bu...

We compared the clinical, biopsy and serology profile in typical vs atypical celiac disease. Mean TTG value for Marsh 3b/c in typical group was (140.53+/-88.77) and in atypical (140.66+/-73.53) (P=0.622). Seventy seven percent of patients had Marsh 3b/c in typical and 67.5% in atypical group (P=0.400).

Poplar belongs to the family Salicaeceae, order Salicales and group Amentiflorae (Dickmann and Stuart, 1983; Eckenwalder, 1996). There are 35 species of poplar currently recognized in the world; out of those, 6 Populus species are indigenous to India– P. alba, P. ciliata, P. euphratica, P. gamblei, P. glauca and P. laurifolia, and during past many clones of exotic species of poplar (P. deltoide...

Agricultural practices often contribute to the transport of solutes into groundwater; thus, low-cost strategies that extract nutrients from groundwater are essential address water pollution. This study evaluated effects agroforestry (tree + grass; AB [cottonwood {Populus deltoides Bortr. ex Marsh.}]) and grass buffers (GB; [tall fescue Schedonorus phoenix (Scop.) Holub, Red clover {Trifolium pr...
