Reporting is one of the basic processes in all organizations. It provides information for planning and decision making and, on the other hand, information for analyzing the correctness of the decisions made at the beginning of the process. Reporting is based on the data that the operational information systems contain. Reports can be produced directly from these operational databases, but an op...

this article proposes a direct method for solving three types of integral equations with time delay. by using operational matrix of integration, integral equations can be reduced to a linear lower triangular system which can be directly solved by forward substitution. numerical examples shows that the proposed scheme have a suitable degree of accuracy.

Data warehouse is set up for the benefits of business analysts and executives across all functional areas. The primary goal of data warehouse is to free the information locked up in the operational database so that decision makers and business analyst can make queries, analysis and planning regardless of the data changes in operational database. Data analysis in a large database requires some i...

We show how the dynamics of database systems can be mod eled by making states rst class citizens in an object oriented deductive database language With states at the same time acting as objects meth ods or classes several concepts of dynamic entities can be implemented allowing an intuitive declarative modeling of the application domain Exploiting the natural strati cation induced by the state ...

Introduction: The Iranian Brain Imaging Database (IBID) was initiated in 2017, with 5 major goals: provide researchers easy access to a neuroimaging database, provide normative quantitative measures of the brain for clinical research purposes, study the aging profile of the brain, examine the association of brain structure and function, and join the ENIGMA consortium. Many prestigious databases...

Databases often inaccurately identify entities of interest. Two operations, consolidation and link formation, which complement the usual machine learning techniques that use similarity-based clustering to discover classifications, are proposed as essential components of KDD systems for certain applications. Consolidation relates identifiers present in a database to a set of real world entities ...

In many applications, the content of a database changes over time. For example, new customer sequences are periodically added to a bookstore’s database as the store attracts new customers. Similarly, every visit to a Web site will add a new log to the site’s log database. There are also situations in which we have to delete sequences from the database. As an example, when mining current access ...

Recently, the case has been made for operational or real-time Business Intelligence (BI). As the traditional separation into OLTP database and OLAP data warehouse obviously incurs severe latency disadvantages for operational BI, hybrid OLTP&OLAP database systems are being developed. The advent of the first generation of such hybrid OLTP&OLAP database systems requires means to characterize their...

Qualitative studies have shown that replication control methods vary in the availability and performance of distributed database processing. Quantitative evaluation of these methods, however, requires a general availability model and experimental performance data. In this paper. we define and study aLgorithmic and operationaL availabilities of distributed database systems that employ replicatio...

The objective of this thesis is to study data mining query optimization in a Logicbased Knowledge Discovery Support Environment. i.e, a flexible knowledge discovery system with capabilities to obtain, maintain, represent, and utilize both induced and deduced knowledge. In particular, we focus on frequent pattern queries, since this kind of query is at the basis of many mining tasks, and it seem...
