Single crystals of monoclinic Nd(2)W(2)O(9) were obtained by growth from tungsten borate flux in an atmosphere of air. The crystal structure consists of chains of distorted [WO(6)] octa-hedra that run along the c axis of the structure, and of [NdO(9)] polyhedra that are connected via common faces and common edges to form a three-dimensional framework.

In the title compound, C(8)H(10)N(2), the cyclo-hexane ring adopts a chair conformation. he crystal structure of the previously reported monoclinic modification have intramolecular CN⋯CN and C-H⋯N interactions. These types of interaction are not present in this new modification whose crystal structure is built up by van der Waals interactions.

Magnesium amidoborane monoammoniate (Mg(NH(2)BH(3))(2) x NH(3)) which crystallizes in a monoclinic structure (space group P2(1)/a) has been synthesized by reacting MgNH with NH(3)BH(3). Dihydrogen bonds are established between coordinated NH(3) and BH(3) of [NH(2)BH(3)](-) in the structure, promoting stoichiometric conversion of NH(3) to H(2).

We determine the pressure phase diagram of the 1111 compounds CaFeAsF and SrFeAsF, up to 20 GPa and down to 4 K by electrical resistivity measurements and the change of structure up to 40 GPa at room temperature.
