The paper presents an algorithm for multi-agent strategic modeling (MASM). The method applies domain knowledge and transforms sequences of basic multi-agent actions into a set of strategic action descriptions in the form of graph paths, agent actions, roles and corresponding rules. The rules, constructed by machine learning, enrich the graphical strategic patterns, which are presented in the fo...

4 ABSTRACT: Anaerobic digestion (AD) of the organic fraction of municipal solid waste (OFMSW) 5 is promoted as an energy source and more recently as a GHG mitigation measure. In this context, AD 6 systems operating at thermophilic temperatures (55-60C) – compared to mesophilic temperatures 7 (35-40C) – have the unique feature of producing hygienic soil conditioners with greater process 8 effici...

This paper combines the CRSP market index with multiple factors to create a single multifactor index. Empirical tests of different indexes indicate that: (1) Sharpe ratios substantially increase and GRS test statistics decrease as multifactors are incrementally added index; (2) resultant significantly priced in cross-sectional associated beta loadings t-values exceeding 3.0 most cases.

These inconsistencies are driven,...

Deception is a pervasive phenomenon that greatly influences dyadic, groupal and societal interactions. Behavioural, physiological and neural signatures of this phenomenon have imporant implications for theoretical and applied research, but, because it is difficult for a laboratory to replicate the natural context in which deception occurs, contemporary research is still struggling to find such ...

The first few words of the title of this symposium are "Anchoring Biodiversity Information". In order to properly anchor anything for a long-lasting future, a solid foundation needs to have been laid. For the zoological portion of biodiversity information, that firm foundation is best exemplified in the works of Charles Davies Sherborn. This man, like others of his ilk, was intimately focused o...
