براساس نمونه‌های جمع‌آوری ‌شده از نواحی نیمه‌بیابانی شمال‌شرق ایران، 53 گلسنگ گزارش می‌شود. چهار گونه (Caloplaca albovariegata، Rinodina afghanica، Lecidea promixta و Schaereria fuscocinerea) برای اولین بار از ایران و 17 گونه دیگر نیز از شمال‌شرق کشور معرفی می‌شوند. همچنین 32 گونه از نواحی جدیدی واقع در شمال‌شرق گزارش می‌گردد.
