This paper investigates a non-commutative first-order sequent calculus NCLK. For that, this paper extends a non-commutative positive fragment to a full first-order sequent calculus LK− having antecedent-grouping and no right exchange rule. This paper shows (1) NCLK is equivalent to LJ, (2) NCLK with the exchange rule is equivalent to LK, (3) LK− is equivalent to LJ, and (4) translations between...

We show that a number of model liquids at fixed volume exhibit strong correlations between equilibrium fluctuations of the configurational parts of (instantaneous) pressure and energy. We present detailed results for 13 systems, showing in which systems these correlations are significant. These include Lennard-Jones liquids (both single- and two-component) and several other simple liquids, neit...

the major reason for the prediction of thermodynamic properties of mercury lies in the fact that itsintermolecular interactions highly depend on temperature and density. internal pressure is a good criterion toinvestigate the density dependence of the interatomic interactions. because its physical base is a forcetending to close together the molecules that is intermolecular interactions, and as...

We report a numerical study of saddles properties of the potential energy landscape for soft spheres with different softness, i.e. different power n of the interparticle repulsive potential. We find that saddle-based quantities rescale into master curves once energies and temperatures are scaled by mode-coupling temperature TMCT , confirming and generalizing previous findings obtained for Lenna...

In this short communication we address the problem of reducibility in a highly excited Lennard-Jones system. We show that the probability of emitting n fragments can be described in terms of a single probability through the binomial expression. However, the Arrhenius law does not hold and the process can be viewed as a mixture of sequential and simultaneous fragmentation events.

We present a systematic study of the thermodynamics of two and three-dimensional generalized Lennard-Jones (LJ) systems focusing on the relationship between the range of the potential, the system density and its dimension. We found that the existence of negative specific heats depends on these three factors and not only on the potential range and the density of the system as stated in recent co...
