A facile strategy based on the amidation reaction of anhydride and NH(2) group in carbon nitride polymer is developed to synthesize a new polymeric photocatalyst which responds to visible-light. The high photocatalytic activity may be due to the coupling anhydride groups promoting the separation of the photoinduced electrons and holes.
Acetylation reaction's product(s) o f 3-[L-threo-2,3,4-trihydroxy-1-(2-naphthylhydrazono)butyl]quinoxalin-2(lH)-one (2b) were found to be dependent on the reaction condition. While the tri-O-acetyl (3b) was isolated in high yield from 2 b under the action o f acetic anhydride/ pyridine mixture, compounds 4 b and 5 b as well as trace o f 3b were obtained when 2 b was heated in acetic anhydride. ...
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(12)H(12)O(5)P(2), contains four independent mol-ecules, generating two dimers via pairs of inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming R(2) (2)(8) rings. The two aryl rings of each mol-ecule form dihedral angles of 108.6 (1), 103.2 (1), 12.5 (2) and 8.1 (2)° in the four mol-ecules.
The complete mol-ecule of the title compound, C(26)H(20)N(2)O(3), is generated by crystallographic twofold symmetry, with the central O atom lying on the rotation axis. The conformation is stabilized by an intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond. The dihedral angle between the inner and outer aromatic ring planes is 61.12 (5)°.
The reversible reaction of exo-cis-3,6-endo-epoxy-4,5-cis-epoxyhexahydrophthalic anhydride (EEHPA) with free protein amino groups is described. The free protein amino groups of lysozyme can be completely blocked through the reaction of the anhydride EEHPA. The chemically less reactive epoxy groups in EEHPA-modified lysozyme remain intact during modification of the protein and can be used for ma...
This work succeeded in synthesizing sponges from chitosan-graft-maleic anhydride. Chitosan and maleic anhydride at a certain mass ratio (1:2, 1:1; 2:1) were reacted dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) 60
If amino-acids are treated in glacial acetic acid solution with the theoretical amount of acetic anhydride, optically active acetamino-acids are obtained, while if a large excess of acetic anhydride is used, racemization and/or formation of azlactones takes place [Bergmann et al. 1926; Bergmann & Zervas, 1928]. Excess of acetic anhydride causes racemization even in aqueous solution in the prese...
Acetohydroxamic acid reacts with the enzyme-CoA form of succinyl-CoA:3-ketoacid coenzyme A transferase to give an inactive product with a rate constant of 860 M-1 min-1 at pH 8.1, 25 degrees C. The reaction is reversible in the presence of coenzyme A and has an equilibrium constant of 0.040. The product is an anhydride that is an analog of the intermediate that has been postulated in the normal...
