In this article we present a low-cost coprocessor for smartcards which supports all necessary mathematical operations for a fast calculation of the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA) based on the finite field GF(2m). These ECDSA operations are GF(2m) addition, 4-bit digit-serial multiplication in GF(2m), inversion in GF(2m), and inversion in GF(p). An efficient implementation of...

The non-linear inverse problem is formulated in a Bayesian framework. The multivariate normal distribution is assumed in both the noise and prior distributions. However, only the structures of the covariance matrices have to be specified, estimation of the variance levels is included in the inversion procedure. The maximum a posteriori approximation is derived, and the final result is a weighte...

in this research we have studied tabriz temperature inversion using radio-sound information, during the 2004-2008 periods in daily, monthly and seasonally scales. produced data associated with temperature inversion daily of the surface (2 meters) to 700 h.pa. several different measures are used, including the height of the base and the height of the top of the inversion, the temperature at the ...

What we believe to be a new inversion procedure for multi- and hyperspectral data in shallow water, represented by the subsurface irradiance and remote sensing reflectance spectra, was developed based on analytical equations by using the method of nonlinear curve fitting. The iteration starts using an automatic determination of the initial values of the fit parameters: concentration of phytopla...

This paper describes an efficient implementation of a crypto arithmetic unit, which computes the modularoperations addition, multiplication, and inversion in prime fields. These calculations are important for an application in elliptic curve cryptography (ECC). The hardware is designed in a self-timed and low-power approach. The paper discusses the pros and cons of this approach compared to a s...

A Gaussian/square function computation circuit suitable for analog neural networks is proposed. It can realize Gaussian and square functions when operating in weak and strong inversion region, respectively. It is shown that the center, width, and peak amplitude of the dc transfer curve can be controlled separably. Measurement results on 3m CMOS fabricated chips confirm theoretical and simulatio...

in this paper we are going to show the importance of mode identification in microtremor array analysis. the idea come from four concentric ambient noise array recordings with aperture 100 to 1000 meters, performed in southern urban area of tehran near the shrine of imam khomeini. these measurements were part of a comprehensive research project with the aim of determination of deep shear wave ve...

We used the Continuous Wave Scanning Acoustic Microscope to characterize thin film materials. The measurement of the dispersion curve of surface waves and the inversion of this dispersion equation relation, allow to determine the elastic constants, the density or the thickness of a thin layer on a substrate. Besides, it is possible to have qualitative information on the adhesion properties of t...

We relate the fixed argument pairing inversion problems (FAPI) and the discrete logarithm problem on an elliptic curve. This is done using the reduction from the DLP to the Diffie-Hellman problem developed by Boneh, Lipton, Maurer and Wolf. This approach fails when only one of the FAPI problems can be solved. In this case we use Cheon’s algorithm to get a reduction.
