To evaluate the inoculation effect of potassium releasing, phosphate solubilizing and nitrogen fixing bacteria on the fruit quality of tomato, an experiment based on randomized complete block design with 9 treatments and 3 replications has been conducted. In this experiment, tomato (super chief cv.) seedlings of the in the treasury cultivation with single and combined treatments of the potassiu...

Infection structures were observed at the penetration sites on the leaves of cucumber plants inoculated with Colletotrichum orbiculare using a fluorescence microscope. The cucumber plants were previously drenched with suspension of bacterial strains Pseudomonas putida or Micrococcus luteus. The plants pre-inoculated with both bacterial strains were resistant against anthracnose after inoculatio...

In this study, a total of twenty four phosphate solubilizing bacterial (PSB) colonies were isolated on the Pikovskaya’s agar medium from different effluent exposed sediment of river Ganga. The bacteria showing clear halo zones around their colonies were considered as phosphate solubilizers. Out of 24 phosphate solubilizing bacterial isolates, 4 potential isolates showing highest halo zone on Pi...

Quorum sensing is known as a communication mechanism among bacteria to control gene expression such bioluminescence, pigmentation, and pathogenicity. quenching inhibition of quorum activity. In order block activity, some produced enzymes which could degrade AHL, AHL-acylase, AHL-lactonase, AHL-oxidase reductase. this study, soil were isolated screened for their These isolates divided into Strep...

Pseudomonas putida strain ND6 is an efficient naphthalene-degrading bacterium. The complete genome of strain ND6 was sequenced and annotated. The genes encoding the enzymes involved in catechol degradation by the ortho-cleavage pathway were found in the chromosomal sequence, which indicated that strain ND6 is able to metabolize naphthalene by the catechol meta- and ortho-cleavage pathways.

Bacterial cells are encased in and stabilized by a netlike peptidoglycan (PGN) cell wall that undergoes turnover during bacterial growth. PGN turnover fragments are frequently salvaged by the cells via a pathway referred to as PGN recycling. Two different routes for the recycling of the cell wall sugar N-acetylmuramic acid (MurNAc) have been recognized in bacteria. In Escherichia coli and relat...

The high rise in the exploration and usage of petroleum products have led to widespread contamination environment. Thence, continuous search for microorganisms with potential mineralize these pollutants is necessary. This study was conducted isolate, identify determine diesel degradation bacteria from oil-contaminated soil collected three filling stations Azare, Katagum LGA, Bauchi State, Niger...

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria(PGPR) on physiological and biochemical properties of maize (Zea mays L.) in different cultivation methods under water stress. The experiment was carried out as split-plot design including water stress (well-watered, mild stress, and severe stress) as main plot and also cultiv...

Experiments were conducted to evaluate the potential of phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB) Bacillus megaterium and potassium solubilizing bacteria (KSB) Bacillus mucilaginosus inoculated in nutrient limited soil planted with eggplant. Results showed that rock P and K materials either applied singly or in combination did not significantly enhance soil availability of P and K. PSB increased hi...

Increased activities of peroxidase and indole 3-acetic acid (IAA) oxidase were detected on root surfaces of bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) seedlings colonized with a soil saprophytic bacterium, Pseudomonas putida. IAA oxidase activity increased over 250-fold and peroxidase 8-fold. Enhancement was greater for 6-day-old than for 4- or 8-day-old inoculated plants No IAA oxidase or peroxidase activities...
