In this paper, we investigate the convergence of a sequence of minimizing trajectories in infinite horizon optimization problems. The convergence is considered in the sense of ideals and their particular case called the statistical convergence. The optimality is defined as a total cost over the infinite horizon.

nazim hikmet (1901-1963), turkish poet and a true believer ofmarxism, spent 12 years of his life in prison and nearly 20 years in exile, anexperience that profoundly changed his perception of  space and influenced the horizon structure ofhis literary work. as michel collot explains, horizon structure considers thephenomenological idea of “existence-in the world” and seeks the life characteror s...

faults/fractures detection is an essential step of the full field study in hydrocarbon reservoir. definition of exact location of these structural events is a critical step to optimize location of the development wells. despite of the fast development of the geo science technology and oil industry in recent years, detection of the small geological events such as faults and fractures in some of ...

We consider an infinite horizon production planning problem with non-stationary, convex production and inventory costs. Backlogging is allowed unlike related previous work and inventory cost is interpreted as backlogging cost when inventory is negative. We create finite horizon truncations of the infinite horizon problem and employ classic results on convex production planning to derive a close...

Stability results are given for a class of feedback systems arising from the regulation of time-varying discrete-time systems using optimal infinite-horizon and moving-horizon feedback laws. The class is characterized by joint constraints on the state and the control, a general nonlinear cost function and nonlinear equations of motion possessing two special properties. It is shown that weak con...
