To achieve a composite product an agent needs sometimes to participate in multiple auctions. Dependences between components of the composite product (including substitute items) are represented in the Simple Hierarchical Order Planner (SHOP) domain. The bidding strategy of the agent is adaptive according to market conditions and the future auction price is estimated with a linear Kalman filter.

This paper presents an unsupervised hierarchical clustering approach for grouping co-referred features in Chinese product reviews. To handle different levels of connections between co-referred product features, we consider three similarity measures, namely the literal similarity, the word embedding-based semantic similarity and the explanatory evaluation based contextual similarity. We apply ou...

1. Abstract In order to make most effective use of an optimization problem formulation within actual design scenarios, the following three goals should be met: (1) acquisition of optimum solutions from wider viewpoints, (2) deepest possible understanding of the achieved optimum design solutions, and (3) breakthrough of the optimum design solutions. This study presents a product design optimizat...

We propose the Hierarchical Product Classification (HPC) framework for the purpose of classifying products using a hierarchical product taxonomy. The framework uses a classification system with multiple classification nodes, each residing on a different level of the taxonomy. The innovative part of the framework stems from the definition of classification recipes that can be used to construct h...

This paper proposes a hybrid data mining approach to quantitatively analyze product complexity of prefabricated construction components from product nonconforming quality performance data. The proposed model is constructed in three steps, which (1) measure product complexity by introducing a Bayesian-based nonconforming quality performance indicator; (2) score each type of product complexity by...

This paper presents a systematic description of a reusable software architecture for multiagent systems in the domain of manufacturing control. The architectural description consolidates the authors’ expertise in this area. Until now, the research has taken a manufacturing control perspective of multiagent systems. The research team has focused on providing benefits to the manufacturing control...

Locating source code elements relevant to a given feature is an important step in the process of re-engineering software variants, developed by an ad-hoc reuse technique, into a Software Product Line (SPL) for systematic reuse. Existing works on using Information Retrieval (IR) techniques do not consider the abstraction gap between feature and source code levels. In our recent work, we have imp...
