BACKGROUND Surgical intervention for partial and full-thickness gluteus medius tears is often recommended for patients who have persistent pain despite nonoperative treatment. Traditionally, the surgical intervention has been carried out through open techniques with good results; however, advantages of endoscopic techniques include less tissue dissection, improved tendon mobilization, and the b...

BACKGROUND Gluteal tendinopathy is a prevalent condition that can be associated with significant pain and disability. To date, no studies have prospectively assessed the efficacy of intratendinous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections as a minimally invasive treatment for gluteus medius tendinopathy. PURPOSE To prospectively assess the efficacy of intratendinous PRP injections as treatment fo...

The objective of these studies was to evaluate the effects of zilpaterol hydrochloride (ZH), fed for 0, 20, or 30 d, on meat quality attributes of calf-fed Holstein steers. Steers were slaughtered at a commercial facility, and carcasses were selected by HCW to represent the pen mean. Further carcass selection was based on quality grade (Choice and Select) and yield grade. Proximate composition,...

We report a case of a 53 year old female with breast cancer and elevated glucose activity at the left greater trochanter on PET imaging. Further imaging with CT and MRI showed that this focus of increased FDG activity on PET was calcific tendinosis of the gluteus medius tendon, which mimicked metastatic disease in this patient.

Using q-operator product expansions between U (1) current fields and also the corresponding energy-momentum tensors, we furnish the q-analoques of the generalized Heisenberg algebra and the Krichever-Novikov algebra.

The present paper concerns itself with the applications of statistical methods to some number-theoretic problems. Recent inrestigations of Erdiis and Wintrier ? have shown the importance of the notion of statistical independence in number theory ; the purpose of this paper is to emphasize this fact once again. It may be mentioned here that we get as a particular case of our main theorem the fol...

Introduction Gluteus Maximus (GMax) and Gluteus Medius (GMed) muscles are commonly weakened in hip osteoarthritis (OA), and functional weight-bearing (WB) exercises are frequently prescribed for gluteal strengthening. Muscle activity as an indicator of muscle recruitment can be measured using electromyography (EMG), with recruitment of >45% maximal voluntary isometric contraction (MVIC) require...
