A “generation” is a classification marking an advance in pharmaceutical development within a class of agents. With respect to antibiotics, a modifi cation in chemical structure, a twist in the mechanism of action, a shift or expansion of antimicrobial activity, improved effi cacy, lower resistance, better tolerability, altered pharmacokinetics, or some combination of the above, may solve a prob...

Two studies examined the impact of subjective experiences on reports of attitude certainty, intensity, and importance. In Study 1, participants with moderate or extreme attitudes toward doctor-assisted suicide generated three (easy) or seven (hard) arguments that either supported or countered their opinion toward the issue prior to indicating the strength of their attitude. Participants with mo...

For synthesising efficient asynchronous circuits one has to deal with the state space explosion problem. In this paper, we present a combined approach to alleviate it, based on using Petri net unfoldings and decomposition. The experimental results show significant improvement in terms of runtime compared with other existing methods.

This paper includes an overview of the Signal Transition Graph (STG) model extensions that makes it possible to specify switching and signal propagation delays in an STG. The correspondence of the STG timing models to the implementation by asynchronous circuit is considered. A method to simulate the behavior speci ed by consistent and bounded timed STG in VHDL environment is proposed. For illus...

Efficient Coordinated Power Distribution on Private Infrastructure Andrew Perrault Master of Science Graduate Department of Computer Science University of Toronto 2013 Due to the design of current power distribution networks, it will become increasingly attractive for agents to generate their own power (distributed generation) and to construct private infrastructure (e.g., transmission lines) t...

The Next Generation LearnLib (NGLL) is a framework for model-based construction of dedicated learning solutions on the basis of extensible component libraries, which comprise various methods and tools to deal with realistic systems including test harnesses, reset mechanisms and abstraction/refinement techniques. Its construction style allows application experts to control, adapt, and evaluate c...
