Ganglion cysts commonly occur around the shoulder, mostly in the spinoglenoid and suprascapular notches. We report a very rare case of intra articular Ganglion cyst of the long head of the biceps tendon that originated from the bicipital groove as a rare cause of shoulder pain.
Two patients underwent arthroscopy-guided injections of autologous fibrin sealants to treat ganglion cysts causing suprascapular nerve palsies. After at least 2 years of follow-up, both patients had no suprascapular nerve symptoms and their external rotation strength had returned to normal. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed no evidence of ganglion cyst recurrence.
We present a case of a compression neuropathy of the common peroneal nerve caused by an intraosseous Ganglion cyst of fibula.
The first description of the ganglion cyst is credited to Hippocrates, who described these lesions as "...flabby ganglionic tumors, containing only mucoid flesh..." Interestingly, this original description was quite accurate, and little more has been discovered about these soft tissue masses in recent medical times. Ganglion cysts have been reported extensively in the medical literature. Contro...
Spinoglenoid cyst (SGC) is a ganglion arising in the spinoglenoid notch and is thought to be related to SLAP lesion. This cyst often compresses the suprascapular nerve in the spinoglenoid notch. Symptomatic cysts require surgical treatment when conservative treatment fails. In particular, arthroscopic decompression through the torn labral tissue when the cyst is extending into the joint cavity ...

Resection of the ganglion of the elbow is indicated if the size or location of the cyst impairs function or causes significant pain. Arthroscopic decompression or endoscopic resection of the cyst is the minimally invasive surgical option. It has the potential advantage of better cosmetic results and less soft-tissue dissection. Endoscopic resection is indicated if the cyst is not communicating ...
