Trust plays an important role in making collaborative decisions about service evaluation and service selection in pervasive computing. Context is a fundamental concept in pervasive systems, which is based on the interpretation of environment and systems. The dynamic nature of context can strongly affect trust management and service selection. In this paper, we present a context-based trust mana...

This paper deals with application of fuzzy intelligent systems in diagnosing severity level and recommending appropriate therapies for patients having Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. Such an intelligent system can have remarkable impacts on correct diagnosis of the disease and reducing risk of mortality. This system captures various factors from the patients using two modules. The first module de...

This paper proposes a framework for mining market basket data to generate Nutritional Patterns (NPs) and a method for analysing generated nutritional patterns using Fuzzy Association Rule Mining. Edible attributes are filtered from transactional input data by projections and are then converted to Required Daily Allowance (RDA) numeric values. The RDA database is...

The concepts of free modules, projective modules, injective modules, and the like form an important area in module theory. The notion of free fuzzy modules was introduced by Muganda as an extension of free modules in the fuzzy context. Zahedi and Ameri introduced the concept of projective and injective L-modules. In this paper, we give an alternate definition for injective L-modules and prove t...

A new type of continuous hybrid tool wear estimator is proposed in this paper. It is structured in the form of two modules for classification and estimation. The classification module is designed by using an analytic fuzzy logic concept without a rule base. Thereby, it is possible to utilize fuzzy logic decision-making without any constraints in the number of tool wear features in order to enha...

FASILL (acronym of “Fuzzy Aggregators and Similarity Into a Logic Language”) is a fuzzy logic programming language with implicit/explicit truth degree annotations, a great variety of connectives and unification by similarity. FASILL integrates and extends features coming from MALP (Multi-Adjoint Logic Programming, a fuzzy logic language with explicitly annotated rules) and Bousi∼Prolog (which u...

Most of self-tuning fuzzy systems, which are automatically constructed from learning data, are based on the steepest descent method (SDM). However, this approach often requires a large convergence time and gets stuck into a shallow local minimum. One of its solutions is to use fuzzy rule modules with a small number of inputs such as DIRMs (Double-Input Rule Modules) and SIRMs (Single-Input Rule...

This paper uses the fuzzy clustering method based on clustering path division, according to user access path. In the cluster, according to the access time and Agent classification of user, this method is then according to the user to all pages in order to visit division. The hardware of intelligent home furnishing controller by the advanced ARM9 embedded system, mobile phone module and RFID mod...

The modularization of large legacy software systems has attracted a great deal of attention in recent years. Such modularization improves the maintenance and reuse of smaller, more manageable pieces of program source codes, and also provides insight into the overall structure of the software system. This paper develops a methodology to determine the modularization programming of a legacy softwa...

This article investigates whether a fuzzy set approach to the natural language syntactic analysis can support information retrieval systems. It concentrates on a web search since the internet becomes a vast resource of information. In addition, this article presents a module of syntax analysis of TORCH project where the fuzzy set disambiguation has been implemented and tested.
