This paper presents a new method for simulation of power bipolar devices. The method is based on the solution of the Ambipolar Diffusion Equation (ADE) with a finite element (FE) [ 1 ] approach. This one allows analog solutions for ADE through an equivalent electrical network. So the method could constitute the core for power bipolar devices simulation into any electrical circuit simulator.
Reliability theory is used to assess the sensitivity of a passive flexion and active flexion of the human lower leg Finite Element (FE) models with Total Knee Replacement (TKR) to the variability in the input parameters of the respective FE models. The sensitivity of the active flexion simulating the stair ascent of the human lower leg FE model with TKR was presented before in [1,2] whereas now...
Circuit simulation is a powerful methodology to generate differential mathematical models. Due to its highly accurate modeling capability, circuit simulation can be used to investigate interactions between the parts and processes of a cellular system. Circuit simulation has become a core technology for the field of electrical engineering, but its application in biology has not yet been fully re...
This paper presents simulation of cutting process by turning of polyamide PA 66, the simulation based on approach Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian, ALE. Was taken into account a tool knife CNMA from Coromant. The flow stress of the workpiece is modeled as function of strain, strain rate and temperature, so as to reflect its dynamic changes in physical properties. In this way, the influences of dep...
The bimetallic joining elements were designed for lap joints of thin metallic (Fe-Fe, Fe-Al) as well – nonmetallic (Fe-PMMA, Al-PMMA) sheets by Resistance Element Welding (REW). Cu tubes with an outer diameter 4 mm, wall thickness 0.5 and a length 11 mm filled solder Sn60Pb40 used the producing. required shape is obtained cold forming. Simulation ANSYS software was chosen optimization forming p...
PURPOSE This study aims to explore the biomechanical mechanism of lower limb injuries to the driver by establishing a finite element (FE) simulation model of collisions. METHODS First a minibus FE model was integrated with a seat belt system. Then it was used to rebuild two collisions together with the total human model for safety (THUMS) provided by Toyota Motor Corporation: a rear-end colli...
To perform a realistic reliability analysis of a complex cable-stayed steel footbridge subject to natural hazard and corrosion, this article addresses a rational process of modeling and simulation based on identification, model updating, and validation. In particular, the object of this study is the Ponte del Mare footbridge located in Pescara, Italy; this bridge was selected as being a complex...
BACKGROUND Over the past two decades finite element (FE) analysis has become a popular tool for researchers seeking to simulate the biomechanics of the healthy and diabetic foot. The primary aims of these simulations have been to improve our understanding of the foot's complicated mechanical loading in health and disease and to inform interventions designed to prevent plantar ulceration, a majo...
