In this paper, we explain why the chaotic model (CM) of Bahi and Michel (2008) accurately simulates gene mutations over time. First, we demonstrate that the CM model is a truly chaotic one, as defined by Devaney. Then, we show that mutations occurring in gene mutations have the same chaotic dynamic, thus making the use of chaotic models relevant for genome evolution.

We use an exact formulation based on nonlinear maps to investigate both the fast-scale and slow-scale instabilities of a voltage-mode buck converter operating in the continuous conduction mode and its interaction with a filter. Comparing the results of the exact model with those of the averaged model shows the shortcomings of the latter in predicting fast-scale instabilities. We show the impact...

Quantized, compact graphs are excellent paradigms for quantum chaos in bounded systems. Connecting them with leads to infinity, we show that they display all the features which characterize quantum chaotic scattering. We derive exact expressions for the scattering matrix, and an exact trace formula for the density of resonances, in terms of classical orbits, analogous to the semiclassical theor...

We show that continuous-time chaos can be defined using linear dynamics and represented by an exact analytic solution. A driven linear differential equation is used to define a low-dimensional chaotic set of continuous-time waveforms. A nonlinear differential equation is derived for which these waveforms are exact analytic solutions. This nonlinear system describes a chaotic semiflow with a ret...

In this paper, we give a family of dynamical systems on the Cantor dust (C C) by using elements 4th Dihedral group with shift map and then express them via code representations points C x C. Moreover, prove that these are chaotic in sense Devaney also investigate topological equivalence systems.

This paper is devoted to the derivation of an exact analytical expression of the bit error rate for chaos-based DS-CDMA systems. For the studied transmission system, we suppose that synchronization is achieved perfectly, coherent reception is considered, and an Additive White Gaussian Noise channel (AWGN) is assumed. In the first part of the paper, performance of a mono-user system with differe...

– We study the mechanisms responsible for quantum diffusion in the quasiperiodic kicked rotor. We report experimental measurements of the diffusion constant on the atomic version of the system and develop a theoretical approach (based on the Floquet theorem) explaining the observations, especially the “sub-Fourier” character of the resonances observed in the vicinity of exact periodicity, i.e. ...
