for a given riemannian manifold (m,g),it is an interesting question to study the existence of a conformal diffemorphism (also called as a conformal transformation) f : m ! m such that the metric g? = fg has one of the following properties: (i)(m; g?) has constant scalar curvature. (ii)(m; g?) is an einstein manifold.

Inhibition of trichloroethylene (TCE) oxidation by the transformation intermediate carbon monoxide (CO) was evaluated with the aquifer methanotroph Methylomonas sp. strain MM2. CO was a TCE transformation intermediate. During TCE oxidation, approximately 9 mol% of the TCE was transformed to CO. CO was oxidized by Methylomonas sp. strain MM2, and when formate was provided as an electron donor, t...

In situ, temperature dependent, XAFS proved that Cr(II) grafted on SiO(2) is extracted from the surface upon CO adsorption at 100 K: DeltaR(Cr-O) = +0.08 A. CO adsorption evolves into two coverage dependent steps: (i) displacement of weak siloxane ligands (non-classical carbonyls); (ii) relaxation of R(Cr-O) surface bond, R(Cr-CO) optimization and transformation into classical carbonyls.

Purified CO dehydrogenase (CODH) from Clostridium thermoaceticum catalyzed the transformation of 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT). The intermediates and reduced products of TNT transformation were separated and appear to be identical to the compounds formed by C. acetobutylicum, namely, 2-hydroxylamino-4,6-dinitrotoluene (2HA46DNT), 4-hydroxylamino-2,6-dinitrotoluene (4HA26DNT), 2, 4-dihydroxylamino...

The pressure influence on the α → ω transformation in Ti–Co alloys has been studied during high pressure torsion (HPT). The α→ω allotropic transformation takes place at high pressures in titanium, zirconium and hafnium as well as in their alloys. The transition pressure, the ability of high pressureω-phase to retain after pressure release, and the pressure interval where α andω phases coexist d...

Although a large number of clustering algorithms have been proposed to identify groups of co-expressed genes from microarray data, the question of if and how such methods may be applied to RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) data remains unaddressed. In this work, we investigate the use of data transformations in conjunction with Gaussian mixture models for RNA-seq co-expression analyses, as well as a pen...

Domain specific languages for model transformation have recently generated significant interest in the model-driven engineering community. The adopted QVT specification has normalized some scheme of model transformation language; however several different model transformation language paradigms are likely to co-exist in the near future, ranging from imperative to declarative (including hybrid)....

The K-RAS oncogene is widely mutated in human cancers. Activating mutations in K-RAS give rise to constitutive signalling through the MAPK/ERK and PI3K/AKT pathways promoting increased cell division, reduced apoptosis and transformation. The majority of activating mutations in K-RAS are located in codons 12 and 13. In a human colorectal cancer we identified a novel K-RAS co-mutation that altere...
