Case Description- An eight-year-old, light brown and crossbred stallion in a horse-racing club had two gray skin masses on his left thigh and thoracic inlet with a slow growth since two years ago. The masses were 5×7 cm in size, irregular shaped with some convex parts. Surface bleeding had been reported occasionally. CBC and WBC were within normal values. General clinical examination of the...

Intracranial metastases from carcinoma are common , occurring in up to 24% of cancer patients at autopsy [1]. Typically, intracranial metastatic disease is characterized by multiple intracerebral mass lesions near the gray-white junction with surrounding edema. Diffuse involvement of the brain without dominant mass lesions may occur with leptomeningeal spread of primary brain tumors, Iymphoprol...

Nµ/Ne, muon to electron population ratio in extensive air showers at high altitudes has been shown to be a suitable estimator of primary cosmic rays mass composition. This study is based on simulated extensive air showers. The Nµ/Ne ratio has been obtained in 100 depths from the top of the atmosphere to the sea level for different primary particle masses and energies. An empirical relation bet...

Mr. A, a 50-year-old English-speaking Korean man, presented to the hospital with right scapular pain. CT of the chest showed two masses, and a CT-guided fine-needle aspiration biopsy study revealed poorly differentiated non-smallcell carcinoma of the lung. MRI of the brain, with and without gadolinium, showed neither a mass lesion nor abnormal enhancement suggestive of metastatic disease.

Background: Regarding the significance of abdominal masses in children, we aimed to identify the pathology of masses according to the age and sex groups. Materials and Methods: We retrospectively reviewed pathological reports of 461 patients with abdominal mass that underwent resection or biopsy during the study period (25 years). Results: One hundred and eighty six cases (40%) were non-neo...

We report two cases of pleomorphic astrocytoma, a rare primary brain tumor with an unusually good prognosis. These lesions typically are peripherally located, partially cystic, temporal lobe masses. Dural attachment is frequent, calcifications are not. Angiography usually shows a hypovascular mass, although blood supply from the external carotid artery may be seen.

Claesen et al. [4] recently presented an efficient method for computing the isotope pattern of a molecule, that is, both the isotope distribution and the center masses (also called “probabilityweighted masses” and “aggregated isotopic variants” in [4]) of the isotope peaks. They favorably compare their approach against five other methods for simulating isotope patterns: Their tool BRAIN is more...

Two independent quark-model predictions of the A magnetic moments, in agreement with one another and with experiment to 1%, are obtained by using two different inputs for SU(3) breaking in quark masses: (1) (m, /m„) =(Mq. —Mq)/(M~-Mn); and (2) m, —ni„ =M p, —Mz. I discuss the implications of the surprising sucess of a description of quark magnetic moments as Dirac moments with quark masses rela...
