Healing Touch is a complementary therapy that can be used as a nursing intervention for patients in critical care settings. Use of healing touch may facilitate positive patient outcomes. However, further research is needed to adequately evaluate the effectiveness of healing touch in the critical care setting. The use of Healing Touch in critically ill patients is explored in this article.

BACKGROUND Large segmental defects in bone do not heal well and present clinical challenges. This study investigated modulation of the mechanical environment as a means of improving bone healing in the presence of bone morphogenetic protein (BMP)-2. Although the influence of mechanical forces on the healing of fractures is well established, no previous studies, to our knowledge, have described ...
background wound healing is a complicated and integrated process. researches have indicated the wound healing effects of calcium channel blockers in animal models in recent years. objectives the aim of this study was to evaluate the wound-healing activity of amlodipine as a calcium channel blocker and combination of amlodipine with phenytoin on excisional cutaneous wound models in rabbit. mater...
Recently, by explicit calculations at orders $\alpha',\alpha'^2,\alpha'^3$, it has been observed that the effective action of string theory critical dimension is independent background for closed spacetime manifolds. In this paper we speculate open manifolds, even character boundary, \ie boundary couplings timelike and spacelike boundaries are same. We support proposal calculating in bosonic or...
the main aim of this paper is to extend the recently developed methods for calculating the buckling loads of planar symmetric frames to include the effect of semi-rigidity of the joints. this is achieved by decomposing a symmetric model into two submodels and then healing them in such a manner that the ::::union:::: of the eigenvalues of the healed submodels result in the eigenvalues of the ent...
BACKGROUND The purpose of this study was to verify whether the concept of coronary blood flow reserve can be applied to patients with critical limb ischemia who are undergoing endovascular treatment (EVT) for isolated infrapopliteal lesions. METHODS AND RESULTS Forty patients diagnosed with critical limb ischemia (Rutherford category 5) who were undergoing EVT for isolated infrapopliteal lesi...
BACKGROUND Resorbable bone hemostasis materials, oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC) and microfibrillar collagen (MFC), remain at the site of application for up to 8 weeks and may impair osteogenesis. Our experimental study compared the effect of a water-soluble alkylene oxide copolymer (AOC) to ORC and MFC versus no hemostatic material on early bone healing. METHODS Two circular 2.7 mm non-...
conclusion in cases with critical atherosclerotic disease of anterior tibial artery, pta-based biphasic or triphasic retrograde collateral flow prevents ischemia, whereas monophasic support or no retrograde flow remains incapable. results in the patient group, 31 lower limb arteries, of total of 17 cases, were included. after compression maneuver, dpa in 11 cases (six right, five left) showed r...
