Associated bacteria from Stichodactyla haddoni are found maximum in tentacle tissues than the body tissue. There are eight associated bacterial species viz., Alcaligenes sp, Corynebacterium sp, Aeromonas sp, Sporosarcina sp, Renibacterium sp, Camobacterium sp1, Camobacterium sp2 and Salinococcus sp were recorded. The culture extracts from the associated bacterial species showed sensitivity agai...
Transparent ZnO–PTFE composite thin films deposited via RF co-sputtering are demonstrated as antireflective and antimicrobial display coatings high-sensitivity touch sensor for a wide range of applications in interactive devices safer experience.
Successful treatment of veterinary infectious diseases in the context widespread use antibiotic therapy depends on effectiveness drugs used to contain or destroy etiological agent. It is generally accepted that resistance microorganisms antimicrobial agents variable, including due horizontal movement with help mobile genetic elements. Antimicrobial susceptibility pattern analysis an important c...
background & aim: by increasing resistance of fish pathogens to chemical drugs, using herbal plants with antimicrobial properties is necessary.in this study, the composition of the essential oil and antimicrobial activity of aerial parts of achillea wilhelmsii c.koch growing wild in zagross mountain (southwest of iran) was analyzed against common bacterial and fungal pathogens of fish. expe...
purpose: urinary tract infection is acommon infectious presentation in the community practice.it is also the most common cause of antimicrobial resistance in the society. the aim of this study was to investigate the frequencyand antimicrobial resistance pattern of the uropathogens isolated from patients with urinary tract infection. materials and methods: this study was conducted on the patient...
Introduction & Objective: Diarrheal diseases are considered a major health problem, especially in children. Enteropathogenic Escherichia coli (EPEC) strains are the common cause of diarrhea in children especially in developing countries. Because of undesirable effects of diarrhea and its interference with children's growth, in some cases antibiotic treatment is recommended. In recent years, r...
The results of testing all urinary pathogens from general practice and hospital practice for their sensitivity to a range of antimicrobial agents over the four years 1971-74 are presented. The changes observed in each situation with the passage of time are discussed. Resistance has become more frequent to those drugs to which resistance is commonly R factor-mediated. Less change has been observ...
One-step multiplex PCR was developed for the identification of gonococci and antimicrobial-resistant profiles. From forty Neisseria gonorrhoeae isolates, the penicillinase-producing N. gonorrhoeae (PPNG), the high-level tetracycline-resistant N. gonorrhoeae (TRNG), and the ciprofloxacin-resistant N. gonorrhoeae (CRNG) were successfully classified. Our method provides expediency and benefit to e...
Fifty strains of Staphylococcus intermedius were isolated from different pathological specimens originating from dogs during a six-month period. Antimicrobial susceptibility patterns against three fluoroquinolones were obtained on 50 Staphylococcus intermedius strains. In vitro antimicrobial susceptibility testing was performed employing the disk diffusion method (Kirby-Bauer). The sensitivity ...
An in vitro antimicrobial sensitivity of Cefazolin and Ampicillin towards 85 strains of Staphylococcus aureus and 52 strains of Esch. Coli was carried out by Kirby-Baurer's Technique at Microbiology Dept. Nepalgunj Medical College, Nepal. 47% Staphylococcus aureus and 25% Esch. coli. were found sensitive to Cefazolin where as sensitivity pattern of Ampicillin was 19% and 7.74% respectively.
